Join Captain Shawn in Cleveland for a half-day of Walleye fishing on Lake Erie! Shawn has been fishing these waters his whole life and specializes in trolling techniques designed to cover water and find Lake Erie's famous Walleye.

These 4-hour trips run throughout the heart of the summer season and are open to anglers of all ages and experience levels. Whether you're learning to fish or already have plenty of experience, Shawn will adjust the trip to your group and help you get comfortable with the equipment and techniques being used. Steelhead may also make an appearance depending on the conditions.

You'll fish aboard Shawn's 24' Hewescraft Ocean Pro, a 2022 aluminum pilothouse powered by a 300 HP Yamaha. The enclosed cabin provides some protection from Lake Erie's changing conditions, while Lowrance electronics, a livewell, trolling equipment, and plenty of rod storage keep the boat ready to fish. There's room for up to 6 anglers.

Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, and a First Mate will be aboard to help keep lines set and assist throughout the trip. You get to keep your legal catch, with fish cleaning available for an additional cost.

Guests should bring a valid Ohio fishing license if required, along with food, drinks, sunscreen, and clothing appropriate for the conditions. With multiple departure times available, you can choose the trip that works best for your group and spend a half day chasing Walleye with Shawn on Lake Erie.

Captain Shawn has been fishing Lake Erie his entire life and started guiding in 2021 to share that experience with anglers of all ages and skill levels. Based in Cleveland, Shawn specializes in Walleye and has developed a particular passion for trolling and the equipment and techniques that go into consistently finding fish on the Great Lakes.

Throughout the Lake Erie season, Shawn runs Walleye trips aboard his fully equipped 24' Hewescraft Ocean Pro. Each year, he also heads to Olcott, New York for the late-summer Lake Ontario Salmon fishery, giving his anglers the chance to chase Chinook, Coho, Steelhead, and other Great Lakes species.

Whether you're fishing for the first time or chasing a new personal best, Shawn puts safety and comfort first and enjoys sharing the knowledge he's gained from a lifetime of Great Lakes fishing.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
