Experience fishing off Oahu aboard Reel Life, our 48-foot Viking sportfishing yacht. Departing from Honolulu’s Kewalo Basin, your private charter begins with a safety briefing and a conversation about your group’s fishing goals. From there, head toward nearshore fishing grounds or deeper offshore waters, with views of Waikiki and Diamond Head along the way. Your route and distance depend on your selected trip length, ocean conditions, and the day’s fishing activity.

Your captain and mate will guide you through the action, from explaining techniques to helping you fight your catch. Reel Life features a roomy fishing cockpit, shaded seating, a comfortable cabin, an onboard restroom, and a small galley. Whether you’re an experienced angler or trying saltwater fishing for the first time, you’ll have a crew ready to help and space to relax between bites.

Depending on your preferences and conditions, your trip may include trolling, bottom fishing, or drift fishing. Offshore trolling can target Pacific blue marlin, yellowfin tuna (ahi), mahi-mahi, and wahoo (ono), while bottom and drift fishing offer opportunities for a variety of reef and bottom-dwelling fish. Species and catches vary, and your captain will recommend an approach suited to the conditions and time available.

We are a locally owned charter company based at Kewalo Basin in Honolulu, Hawaii. We offer private yacht experiences, sportfishing adventures, snorkeling excursions, and shared bottom-fishing trips, giving visitors and kamaʻāina a variety of ways to enjoy Oahu’s waters. Whether you’re planning your first ocean adventure or returning for another day of fishing, our team is here to help you find the right experience.

Our fleet includes Iwa Kai, a spacious 74-foot Striker yacht; Reel Life, a classic 48-foot Viking sportfishing boat; and Sashimi II, a 59-foot Delta that welcomes guests for shared bottom-fishing trips and private outings. With three distinct boats, we can accommodate different interests and group sizes—from a private day with close friends to a family gathering or company celebration.

Fishing is a big part of what we do. Our trips range from beginner-friendly bottom fishing to offshore sportfishing, with options for trolling, drift fishing, and exploring nearshore waters. Depending on the trip and conditions, anglers can target Hawaii favorites such as mahi-mahi, ono, ahi, and Pacific blue marlin. Our captains and crew help guests get involved, learn along the way, and enjoy the excitement of fishing in Hawaiian waters.

For those who prefer a slower pace, our private yacht outings offer time to relax, take in views of Waikiki and Diamond Head, and enjoy swimming or snorkeling when conditions permit. Birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and time together all feel a little more special with Oahu’s coastline as the backdrop.

Recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want to eat or drink on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Kyle will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

We vet our guides and only partner with the best of the best. Our guides do their very best to keep you safe, show you a great time, and send you home with a memorable experience shared with family and friends.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.

After booking your trip, we'll connect you directly with your guide to discuss additional details. In the meantime, our team is here to answer any questions via email, text, or phone.
