Explore the backwaters of Southwest Florida with Captain Ward on an inshore fishing adventure through Chokoloskee, Everglades City, Everglades National Park, and the Ten Thousand Islands. These waters offer plenty of opportunities to target snook, redfish, spotted seatrout, and tarpon while fishing mangrove shorelines, winding creeks, and shallow flats.

You'll be fishing aboard a 21' Hewes Redfisher, a versatile shallow-water boat well suited for exploring the area's backcountry. Captain Ward primarily fishes with artificial lures, allowing anglers to work different techniques depending on the conditions and target species. Live bait is also available for an additional cost.

With over 20 years of experience fishing these waters, Captain Ward knows how to adjust to changing tides, weather, and seasonal fish movements. Whether you're an experienced angler looking to chase trophy snook or a beginner hoping to learn the ropes, he'll tailor the trip to your experience level and goals.

How did you get started guiding?

I started guiding professionally in 1987. I graduated from Florida Southern College with a Citrus / Business degree. After the big freeze destroyed most of the Orange groves there was not much opportunity's for jobs in the Citrus Industry. I was very fortunate to live on a lake and started fishing at a very early age. I am very fortunate to be blessed with fishing and hunting skills.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
