About Your Trip

Get ready for an epic 24-hour Offshore adventure with Captains JT and Danny chasing the big boys like Marlin, Tile Fish, Grouper, and Tuna!

You will launch from Freeport around 10 am aboard their one-of-a-kind sport fisher for a luxury seafaring experience. At 38 feet long and almost 14 feet wide, the vessel offers lots of shaded space, two AC systems, satellite TV and music, and a legendary hull design. Needless to say, you will
be much more comfortable than on most other boats. It’s equipped with state-of-the-art electronics, safety equipment including a satellite phone, epirb, and 8 man life raft. The beautiful vessel is powered by twin 420 horsepower Yanmar diesel engines that are meticulously maintained by Captain JT.

After Captain JT has cranked up the engines, you'll motor offshore a ways to spend the day bottom fishing for Grouper, Golden tile, Amberjack and whatever else emerges from the blue depths! When the bite slows down toward the afternoon, Captains JT and Danny will haul in the lines, and motor out a little deeper to the 80-110 mile range. While you get some much-needed R&R, they will get the boat into position for the Tuna bite early the next morning. The Tuna bite is usually on a couple of hours before sunrise, so after a couple of hours of sleep, you'll wake up around 4 am to start jigging for Tuna! This is one of the only times slots when big tuna come up from the deep to feed and they are usually swimming back down to deeper water by the time the sun comes up. So you'll jig until that sun comes up then troll around in the rest of the morning before you motor back in!

In terms of gear, we will come fully equipped with all the premium bottom fishing rods and reels, Penn international bent butt trolling rod and reels, and two heavy-duty electric reels for deep dropping down 350+ feet. The navigation system has more than 3000 waypoints saved over the years so they can pinpoint these feeding grounds easily as well!

Well to start things of my scheduled date was double booked and was informed the day of that there was a possibility it could be canceled. Mind you my guest and myself have already paid for our Airbnb's and what not. The morning of, the Capt was running a little late while understandable, he could've answered my calls to inform me that he was on the way or whatever the case. As I introduced myself to him he proceeds to asked about other expenses that I wasn't told of and stated that everything was handled through Captains Experience and he was upset about that. Mind you, on his page it states everything that comes with the trip and maybe he hasn't updated it but it was there. Upon departure he is starting his safety speech and first thing out of his mouth is there are no fish biting. As we headed out, everyone was conversing and we tried including the Capt, but he was just refused to talk the whole trip. We spent more time traveling than fishing. Out of a 12 hr trip we fished a total of 2hrs top. During the time we were fishing we spent 15 to 20 minutes fishing and than we had to reel in and travel for a few hrs to the next spot. 2 of my guest had to have there lines cut and the deck hand was told to go ahead and not re-rig and to put them up. We had 6 guest and only had 5 poles. There were more on board but none were offered to us .We used 1/2 a box of sardines and than they used chop bait from a red we had caught. There was a whole new box of sardines that hadn't been touched but we never used that and the other half was thrown over. While we were out the Capt spent about an hr doing mechanical work as we drifted waiting for him to finish and we couldn't fish during that time. The expectation for our group was high and exciting but that quickly changed due to a negative attitude and mechanical issues there after. Capt Jt seemed like a great guy and maybe it was just a bad day for him but it didn't have to show at our expense. Deck hand Mark was phenomenal in every aspect. He was very hands on, he communicated well, offered us drinks every so often. A huge thank you to Mark. Maybe we will give it another chance down the rd and I would hope the Capt will have a better attitude and maybe due some research on where the fish have been bitting that week.

Hey Rafael we'd like to apologize again that things didn't live up to expectations. This isn't the taste we want to leave in our customer's mouths and we expect more of our captains.
