About Your Trip

Situated along the banks of the legendary Naknek River, just outside Katmai National Park, this full-service lodge provides unparalleled access to the world's largest salmon runs and Alaska’s only designated “Trophy Rainbow Trout” area. Bristol Bay is a true angler’s paradise, where trout and char grow beyond 30", salmon runs number in the millions, and the rare Grayling thrives in pristine waters. Pair that with incredible bear viewing at the iconic Brooks Falls, and you're in for the adventure of a lifetime.

Guided by expert fly fishermen and equipped with premium gear from top brands like Orvis and Simms, you’ll explore legendary waters by jet boat or float plane. Each trip is tailored to your preferences, whether you're targeting giant rainbows, salmon, or other species on the Naknek River, small streams, or remote fly-out destinations like the Moraine and Alagnak rivers.

Packages:
- Standard (7 Days): Includes 6 guided fishing days (1 at Brooks River) and 7 nights lodging.
- Best of Bristol Bay: Adds 3 float plane fly-outs to iconic remote rivers.
- Unlimited: Flexible fishing adventures (fly-outs, raft trips, or river fishing) customized to your goals.

Lodging & Meals:
Relax in a classic riverfront log lodge with private rooms or cabins featuring modern amenities like individual heating, private bathrooms, and mini-fridges. Savor chef-prepared Alaskan favorites, including salmon and reindeer, and unwind in the great room swapping stories or tying flies.

Daily Schedule:
- Breakfast: 7:00 AM
- Fishing: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (lunch on the water)
- Dinner: 6:30 PM
- Options for the next day’s adventure are discussed each evening. The guides will discuss the fishing options available for the next day. You will then choose the best option for you and, weather permitting, they will make it happen.

What's Included:
- King Salmon Airport transfers
- Expert guides and premium fishing gear (rods, reels, flies, waders)
- Meals, daily maid service, and fish cleaning/vacuum packing

What to Bring:
Breathable waders, rain jacket, warm layers, backpack, and (if you prefer) your own rods and flies.

Fly Rod Suggestions:
- 5-6 Weight: Great for small streams and fly-outs; use nymphs, dry flies, or small streamers.
- 7-8 Weight: Ideal for the Naknek and larger rivers; streamers, leeches, and heavy sink tips.
- 9 Weight: Designed for salmon; bright flies for Kings, Silvers, and Chums, and durable nymphs for Sockeye.
- Spey Rods: 7-8 weights for trout and 8-9 for Kings, paired with Skagit heads and sink tips.

Must-Have Flies:
Bring versatile patterns like Sex Dungeons, String Leeches, Dolly Lamas, Intruders (pink, orange, chartreuse), nymphs (Pheasant Tails, Wooly Buggers), and beads (6-10mm, natural colors).

Whether you're chasing trophy rainbow trout, massive salmon, or arctic char, this adventure offers world-class fishing in one of the most breathtaking and untouched regions on Earth. From bear sightings at Brooks Falls to fishing a different river every day, this is the ultimate trip for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

There are literally dozens and dozens of companies worldwide offering sportfishing tours in Alaska and Russia nowadays. The majority of these are reputable organizations capable of providing a satisfactory angling vacation. But very few can match us for the kind of fishing experience we offer and the number of years we have been in business. We have been doing tours for 35 years and in the process have developed an unmatched expertise in delivering the very finest wild fishing and intimate wilderness experiences possible. No fishing lodge or semi-permanent camp working the same tired stretches of water day in and day out with noisy jet boats can possibly offer you the same kind of experience we can floating remote wild rivers and sampling untouched water each day! It’s that simple. And since we don’t wholesale our trips, we can offer prices that are among the most competitive in the business, bar none. You can certainly pay a whole lot more for your fishing vacation, but you won’t get a better trip! Trust us on that! Contact us for a list of references, talk to some of our former clients or ask other folks in the fly fishing business, and you’ll find that our reputation is untouchable. We are the best because, more than anything, we love to do this, have the highest personal standards and have been in business longer than most everyone else!

We are an Alaska-based enterprise, in business since 1983. We have always strived to provide the highest quality wilderness sports fishing adventures, here and abroad, at the most competitive prices. In addition to developing an outstanding Alaska program, we were among the first American tour operators to pioneer joint ventures in Russia during the late 1980s, concentrating our efforts in the Far East provinces most accessible by direct flights from Alaska.

Goo Vogt’s Siberian taimen program based out of Khabarovsk in the 1990s was very successful, garnering five IGFA World Records, including the largest fish ever taken on rod and reel. The Kamchatka program, begun in the early 1990s, featured float trips on the finest rivers in the southern and central province, along with volcano treks, visits to hot springs and trips to rural villages for cultural interaction. With our considerable involvement and passion, we have tirelessly promoted tourism and business and cultural exchanges between our two neighboring countries.
