SRD is a team of river lovers and diehard Steelhead fishermen. We even fish on our days off! A day on the water with us is relaxed. We primarily back troll (pulling plugs) or drift fish for Steelhead. It is a very beginner-friendly way to get into big fish.

When you book with us, expect a call within a day to talk about the logistics of your trip. During our call we will discuss what to bring, where to stay before and/or after your trip, where to meet us, and will answer any questions you may have. We want your pre-trip experience to be easy to understand and leave you confident that your trip is going to be a great one!

How did you get started guiding?
I grew up on the banks of the Salmon River. Being on and near the water was my lifestyle. It was a natural transition to move into the world of guiding as soon as I was able to. I professionally guided fishing & wilderness rafting trips for a decade before I decided to branch off on my own and form Salmon River Drifters, it was the best decision we ever made! I hope my children grow up to love and respect the river as much as I do, we live in the best place in the world!
