About Your Trip

Come join me, Captain Justin, and explore the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean offshore of Cape Lookout including the well known waters that bathe the Big Rock. Blue water trips depending upon season and conditions range from 25 miles to 60 miles from Beaufort Inlet. Target species include mahi, wahoo, blackfin and yellowfin tuna, sailfish, along with blue and white marlin. Trolling artificial and rigged ballyhoo baits is the standard presentation, but we are always prepared with bottom fishing gear if the troll bite slows or you just want a change of pace. Bottom fishing species include trigger fish, multiple snapper species, sea bass, multiple grouper species, to name a few. Offshore trips can include trolling only, bottomfishing, or a combination of both. I love light tackle and my trolling is no different as I use the smallest trolling tackle to get the job but I love me some electric reels for bottomfishing. I have your fishing covered. And remember, mother nature doesn't always play fair with wind and waves, but don't fret I am a two boat platform so we can still hop aboard my inshore boat and get our day on the water.

Step off the dock and aboard the Ragtime, a 2021 30' Contender center console, both fast and seaworthy she will take us safely to our destination and back. She is powered by twin 300 HP Yamaha engines, rigged with Power Pole Move Trolling motor to keep us o the spot, and Simrad electronics to find the spot. I come prepared with everything you need for a great day, including top-of-the-line rods, reels, bait, and tackle. Bring along proper clothing, sunscreen, and a pair of polarized sunglasses to maximize your time on the water.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
