If you can think of anything, let us know, because this all-inclusive experience with Captain Ozzy is the ultimate dream trip for anglers chasing big game fish. With 3 full days of fishing and 4 nights of luxury lodging, this adventure blends world-class fishing with resort-class comfort.

The Pacific coast of Guatemala is renowned for its consistently calm waters and incredible billfishing. Known as one of the premier Sailfishing destinations worldwide, anglers here enjoy 15–20 Sailfish bites a day on average, with peak season (October to June) bringing up to 40 bites daily! The best captains release over 2,000 Sailfish per year. But it’s not just about Sailfish—these waters are also home to massive Tuna and Marlin, making it the perfect place to break your personal record.

You’ll be fishing the “Pocket,” a deep underwater canyon about 30 nautical miles wide. Most trips start just 12–15 miles offshore at the canyon’s tip, but Captain Ozzy is ready to go the distance, sometimes running up to 40 miles offshore to find the bite. In this fishing haven, you’ll target Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, and more. Blue Marlin in these waters average 300–600 pounds, and on a good day, top captains can raise 4 or more Marlin! While Sailfish reign supreme from October through June, Marlin fishing is especially hot from September to December and remains solid year-round.

Captain Ozzy uses a variety of techniques to target these fish, including light tackle, heavy tackle, trolling, jigging, and bottom fishing. For billfish, expect to use artificial teasers and rigged natural bait like ballyhoo, paired with Shimano 20–50 lb class stand-up tackle. Fly fishing is also an option for those looking for a unique challenge. All bait is rigged with circle hooks as part of Guatemala’s strong conservation efforts, and billfishing is strictly catch-and-release to preserve these incredible fisheries for future generations.

Your fishing trips will run from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day. While on board, your crew will serve you a hot lunch, snacks, fresh fruit, and even freshly prepared ceviche or sashimi. Beer, rum, vodka, sodas, Gatorade, and bottled water are all included. The luxury doesn’t stop when you leave the dock!

Choose between a 32' Blackfin sportfisher with Twin Cat 3208 engines (22 knots cruising speed) or a 31' Bertram with Twin Cummins 6BTA engines (23 knots cruising speed). Both boats are equipped with all the essentials for an enjoyable trip and offer plenty of comfort for up to 4 anglers.

Your accommodations include a beautifully designed air-conditioned villa with two bedrooms, two queen beds, two bathrooms, and a cozy central lounge area with a flat-screen TV featuring English SKY Satellite Service. Your adventure begins as soon as you arrive at the Guatemalan International Airport. An English-speaking driver will greet you and transport you to the resort in a luxury passenger van stocked with a cooler of sodas and beer. If your flight arrives mid-day, you’ll have the option to stop and explore the historic city of Antigua Guatemala on the way. The drive to the resort in Iztapa, Escuintla takes about 90 minutes along a four-lane highway. You’ll pass volcanoes, sugar plantations, and picturesque landscapes, setting the tone for the incredible trip ahead.

Captain Ozzy and his team in Guatemala won't knock you for it either- these included amenities are all part of what their operation one of the leading sportfishing destinations in the world.

Book a trip to experience the best Sailfishing in the world. 15-20 eats/day is par for the course, while 40 daily bites is common most of the year from October through June. These Pacific Sailfish average 90 to 100 pounds, but sailfish over 125 pounds are common.

Bill fishing in Guatemala takes place only 12-40 miles offshore in the "Pocket", a deep underwater canyon just off the Guatemalan Pacific coast.

Marlin fishing out of Puerto Quetzal is especially renowned. Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin and Black Marlin are all caught with relative consistency, with 300-600 pound Blue Marlin proving most common. Marlin fishing is hottest from September through December.

This charter is a world leader in conservation. As such, all bait is rigged with circle hooks and all bill fishing is catch and release. These practices insure this pristine and vibrant fishery remains so for your return trips year after year after year!

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Ozzy will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 30 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 30 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
