This all-inclusive experience with Captain Ozzy is the dream vacation for avid anglers looking to land serious big game fish. Over the course of three full days of fishing and four nights of lodging, you'll experience the unparalleled fishing waters of Guatemala’s Pacific coast.

Renowned as one of the world’s premier Sailfishing destinations, these calm waters offer incredible action year-round, with peak season running October through June. Anglers can expect 15 to 20 Sailfish bites a day, with top boats raising up to 40 during peak months. The region’s captains catch and release over 2,000 Sailfish annually! In addition to Sailfish, the area offers trophy-worthy Tuna, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, and Black Marlin. If you’re looking to set a personal record, this trip is for you. Blue Marlin in the 300–600 pound range are common, and it’s not unheard of to raise multiple Marlin in a single day, especially from September through December.

Captain Ozzy will take you to the "Pocket," a 30 Nm-wide underwater canyon teeming with marine life. Most days, fishing begins just 12–15 miles offshore, but the captain may run up to 40 miles out if needed to put you on the fish. Techniques include light and heavy tackle, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, and even fly fishing if you choose. Expect to use high-quality Shimano stand-up tackle (20–50 pound class) and circle-hook rigged ballyhoo for billfish. Guatemala leads the way in conservation, and all billfishing is strictly catch-and-release, ensuring these waters remain a world-class fishery for years to come.

With the "Performance Package," you’ll fish aboard a 32’ Blackfin sportfisher powered by twin Cat 3208 engines. This sturdy vessel cruises comfortably at 22 knots and is equipped with all the basics to keep you safe and comfortable for a full day on the water. Alternatively, you can opt for a 31’ Bertram powered by twin Cummins 6BTA engines with similar amenities and a cruising speed of 23 knots. Both boats are meticulously maintained and feature top-of-the-line gear, a skilled captain, and two experienced mates. Trips run from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and your crew will provide hot lunches, fresh ceviche or sashimi prepared in the galley, snacks, and beverages, including beer, rum/vodka, sodas, Gatorade, and bottled water. Luxury and comfort follow you from the resort right onto the boat.

When you’re not on the water, relax in a beautifully designed villa featuring air conditioning, two bedrooms with queen beds, two bathrooms, and a central lounge with a flat-screen TV and SKY Satellite Service. Sliding glass doors open onto a sun deck overlooking landscaped tropical grounds, a pool, and the marina. Book a trip to experience the best Sailfishing in the world. 15-20 eats/day is par for the course, while 40 daily bites is common most of the year from October through June. These Pacific Sailfish average 90 to 100 pounds, but sailfish over 125 pounds are common.

Bill fishing in Guatemala takes place only 12-40 miles offshore in the "Pocket", a deep underwater canyon just off the Guatemalan Pacific coast.

Marlin fishing out of Puerto Quetzal is especially renowned. Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin and Black Marlin are all caught with relative consistency, with 300-600 pound Blue Marlin proving most common. Marlin fishing is hottest from September through December.

This charter is a world leader in conservation. As such, all bait is rigged with circle hooks and all bill fishing is catch and release. These practices insure this pristine and vibrant fishery remains so for your return trips year after year after year!

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 30 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 30 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
