You will be responsible for your own gear. Once you book your trip, we'll connect you directly with Larry to discuss details.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Larry will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

All we caught wee Redfish; we caught several in the 5.5#+ class. We had a great day.
Or second day was a good day as well, each of us caught enough fish to feel like we knew what we were doing.
Larry has a great way about him to make you feel comfortable and is very capable. We will come back again as long as we can fish with him.

This was one of the best things I ever booked. This was a surprise for my boyfriend and he had an awesome time. If you're looking for an expert, down-to-earth, natural-born, get-you-on-the-fish, courteous, and professional fishing guide, Larry is your guy! He is the most knowledgeable and fun guide to hit the waters with in the Corpus Christi & Aransas Pass area.

You'll be on redfish, speckled trout, flounder, and whatnot like you wouldn't believe. He taught us how to hook fish using artificial lures so well that we both had walk-off red catches. Both were within the slot. We limited on reds and finished early!

When I hear wade fishing I envision closer to the shore. We didn't take the right type of shoes for walking in mud/sand that you literally sink into while walking through the literal middle of the ocean. We aren't really as physically fit as we needed to be for the conditions either. I wish we had had a more in-depth description prior to our excursion. It was not enjoyable for me and not much more for my spouse. I wound up sitting on the boat for more than half of the trip because I wasn't comfortable with the conditions but we still paid full price, even though I caught nothing while I was out fishing for quite a while. We also didn't catch muchin total. Brought home 2 reds, caught 1 bass and a flounder total. I wouldn't do it again. Maybe a different type of trip, but not this one! The captain was okay, but not great. I also didn't feel very comfortable with what could have been swimming anywhere in the vicinity. The captain assured us sharks would not be near, but who knows?? I do know there are sharks in the ocean! Lol

Captain Experiences is the home of over 1500 Damn Good fishing and hunting guides. Our mission is to unlock the outdoors for everyone, and we want to help you get out there through our no-hassle online booking experience and our team of outdoors experts.
We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.
Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
Once you book the trip, we will connect you directly with the guide to go over any additional details. In the meantime, our team is always available to answer your questions via email, text, chat, or call!
