About Your Trip

Orange Beach is one of the most beautiful places on the Alabama coast, and it has the rich fishery to match! There's no better way to experience all that this amazing area has to offer than an inshore trip with Captain Joe! He's been fishing these waters for three decades, and knows how to consistently put his clients on amazing fish.

The inshore waters here are packed with fish, and there's a wealth of sportfish species to target. On this trip, you'll focus on classics including Redfish, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, flounder, mangrove snapper.king mackerel, bluefish,more and even Sharks—all great fun for anglers of every level.

To get bites, you'll fish live bait and or lures depending on the conditions and season.
Captain Joe will make sure you're armed with the right tackle for the fish you're targeting, so you can have the best opportunity to pull some blue-ribbon fish over the rail.

You'll be fishing aboard Captain Joe's 24' Kenner center console, a great all-around vessel powered by an 150-HP Yamaha outboard. Your captain will provide all rods, reels, tackle, live bait and fishing licenses. All you need to bring is sunglasses, sunscreen, and any snacks or drinks you might want while on board. He'll do the rest!

I started commercial fishing the bays at the age of 12, and have since worked on the water, running all types of vessels. After working the Shipping and oil service vessels for a few years I moved to Lower Alabama and as I like to explain it I fell into the wrong crowd and got back into fishing and the rest is history I have been in the charter fishing business full-time since 1987 out of Orange Beach Al, and I have been USCG licensed since 1982. I have fished over 6,000 paid charters and still love to see people catch fish! Our crew takes pride in our boat, customers, and catch. I would like to have the opportunity to take you and your family, or a group of friends, fishing! I have 2 vessels that I mainly operate one is a 44 Henriques offshore USCG for 20 passengers we offer private charters for small to large groups. The other vessel is an inshore 24ft Kenner and I operate that when the offshore fishing slows down mainly early spring, fall and winter.
Expect a clean well maintained vessel courteous crew and we will give you 100%
I enjoy all types of hunting on my time off as well as fishing (yes I still enjoy fishing every day I can get out after all these years)

How did you get started guiding?

Started fishing early in life and after going around the world on ships, tugs and working the oilfield boats I moved to this area and fell into the wrong crowd and got right back into fishing for hire over 35 years ago lol

What makes you different from other guides?

Plenty of true charter experience over 6000 paid charters in the past 35 plus years, I don't lie just to get your business (even knowing fishermen have a tendency to lie haha) My crew and I try our best every day and as we know there are never any guarantee's when dealing with mother nature.
