About Your Trip

This trip is for lodging, a morning duck hunt, brunch after the hunt. Can book one to as many days as you would like to hunt and fish. TX waterfowl season runs in Nov-Jan. Currently November is pretty open but Dec/Jan is pretty full with just a couple openings.

Arrive at camp the evening before your hunt. Airport transportation from Harligen, TX can be arranged to camp if wanted.

In the morning we will discuss leave out times and what to expect. Go over any last minute details and questions you may have. The next morning head out via airboat to hunt location. Can then help set up decoys and blind if you want to take an active part in it or you can sit back while we get everything set for the hunt. From there we will conduct the hunt till 10am or your limit is acquired. Come back to lodge for an included brunch. Afternoons can be used for fish for redfish or speckled Trout for $150 a person. I can handle up to 8 hunters, or two groups of 4. I do not mix parties and each lodging is seperate so you don't have to deal with other people. My other guide is my girlfriend who is a uscg licensed captain as well. Grew up on the lower Texas coast hunting and fishing. Being a female it is also a great trip for all woman's groups. Not many places you can go and have an all female hunt.

I'm Capt. Matt and I'm a full-time hunting and fishing guide in north central WI. I guide all over the area with the popular vacation towns of Minocqua, Eagle River, Manitowish Waters, boulder Junction, and saint Germain. I am well known for my musky fishing expertise being a 3 time pmtt world champion winner. But am also the most decorated angler in their tournament series history. Besides musky I also enjoy and fish at a high level for bass, walleyes, and even big panfish. Besides fishing northern WI. I run a duck/fishing operation on the Texas coast in the winter months and chase tarpon in the spring down in south west FL. I am one of the very few full-time guides in the area with a great reputation of making your day highly enjoyable catching our target species.

How did you get started guiding?

Growing up didn't know anyone else to hunt or fish with so decided to make a website to see if people wanted to go so I then could buy more gear and tackle. It took off to the point where I went full-time into it right out of college.

What makes you different from other guides?

Experience, time on the water, drive to be the best at it. I strive to always put in 110% effort to get the most out of the day. I started tournament fishing to see if hey I actually know what I'm doing against others. A decade later I've decorated myself being one of the best musky tournament anglers in the country.

Everything Else to Know

Everything is included to run the hunt. But you will need a texas waterfowl license and stamps. Waders, Gun, and steel shot (2-4 shot).

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Matt will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
