With a wide variety of fishing opportunities, Captain Jeff specializes in river fishing, inshore fishing, flats fishing, Jetty fishing, nearshore fishing and backcountry fishing. These diverse environments offer thrilling chances to hook into some of Amelia Island’s most sought-after species, including Black Drum, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Sheepshead, and Bonnethead Sharks. Whether you’re looking to reel in a hard-fighting Redfish, finesse a Flounder from the flats, or go toe-to-toe with a feisty Shark, there’s something for everyone.

Captain Jeff employs a range of techniques to match the conditions and your fishing style. Try your hand at bottom fishing, perfect for targeting Sheepshead and Flounder, or use light tackle spinning gear to land a trophy Spotted Seatrout. No matter the method, Captain Jeff will guide you through the best strategies to hook into the fish of your dreams.

Your fishing adventure will take place aboard Captain Jeff’s 28’ custom Panga center console, a highly versatile boat designed to handle Amelia Island’s unique fishing grounds. With a shallow draft that allows it to float in just 6-8 inches of water, it’s ideal for exploring tight backcountry creeks and flats, while also being capable of cruising the inshore waters with ease. The boat is fully equipped with coolers for your snacks and drinks, plus all the gear you need for a successful day on the water.

Captain Jeff takes care of everything, providing fishing licenses, rods, reels, bait, tackle, and bottled water. All you need to bring are your favorite snacks, drinks, and plenty of sunscreen! At the end of your trip, Captain Jeff will clean and filet your catch, so you can take it home and savor the day’s success.

Whether it’s your first time fishing or you’re a seasoned pro, Captain Jeff’s expert knowledge and personalized approach will make your trip truly unforgettable. I’m Capt. Jeff and I’ve had a love for the sport of fishing my entire life. I’ve been a charter captain in Florida since 2001. Prior to moving to Florida I did private fly fishing tours on the Cascades Gorge in Warm Springs, Va. My family and I moved to Amelia Island, in the fall of 2003 and I’ve been guiding here for 20 years. We offer light tackle and fly fishing for Redfish, Trout, Flounder, Tarpon, Cobia, Black Drum, Jacks, Sharks and Sheepshead. These are just a few of the species that we target. Capt. Crumpton also has his Federal Reef Fish Permits for Grouper, Red Snapper and other pelagic species. I love to sight fish for redfish on the flood tides and other native fish to Amelia Island. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, fishing, and learning experience. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Bring your family fishing to have fun and create memories here on Amelia Island!

How did you get started guiding?

Well My wife was a river guide on the Gauley and New River, And she had this really cool shirt. It said Guides are like prostitutes, first you do it for fun, then you do it for friends, then you do it for money! haha And my buddies at Snowshoe Wv. Mike Cumashot and George Bell and Shane Bradley. And my wife Caroline!

What makes you different from other guides?

I feel having experience as a certified level 3 psia ski teacher in the snowsports industry,helps with teaching and coaching Clients/Guest to proper techniques in casting, presentation, and hooking/Landing that trophy fish. And the passion for the outdoors. I look forward to sharing what has been shared with me from others with you. I'm always learning everyday. Thank you, Captain Jeff Crumpton

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
