About Your Trip

Join Captain Byron for a half-day adventure fishing the waters between the Upper Laguna Madre and the southern end of Baffin Bay! With years of experience dialing in these spots, Byron knows where the fish are biting and how to put you right on top of them.

You’ll be targeting a variety of inshore favorites like Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and Speckled Trout using live or cut bait—typically croaker, shrimp, or menhaden—depending on what the
fish are chasing. Fishing is done from the boat, focusing on productive flats, jetties, and inshore structures where Byron’s been seeing solid action.

You’ll fish aboard a 23’ Haynie bay boat, built for shallow water performance and equipped with a Mercury 200 HP engine, livewell, power pole, and casting platform—perfect for sight casting or setting up on structure. The trip departs at 7:00 AM and can accommodate up to 8 anglers, making it ideal for families, friend groups, or even small teams looking to get on the water.

Captain Byron provides all rods, reels, tackle, and live bait. He’ll also clean your catch for an additional fee at the end of the trip. The boat doesn’t have a restroom, so dress appropriately for the weather and plan ahead.

Kids and anglers of all skill levels are welcome, and the trip is disability-friendly. Bring your favorite snacks and drinks—just no glass—and get ready for a laid-back, fish-filled morning on the Texas coast.
