About Your Trip

Join Captain George for a technical, rewarding, and truly unforgettable saltwater wade fishing experience on the legendary flats of Cape Cod. A Fly Fishers International (FFI) Certified Casting Instructor, seasoned guide, and respected educator, Captain George specializes in guiding intermediate to advanced fly anglers through some of the most visually stunning and productive sight fishing waters on the East Coast.

This is not a trip for beginners—solid casting fundamentals, line control, and the ability to
adapt to changing conditions are essential. You’ll be wading and stalking fish on foot, often making long, precise casts in windy, shifting environments. Before your trip, Captain George will personally connect with you to discuss your goals and experience level, ensuring a focused and tailored session that maximizes your time on the water.

Trip Locations:

Brewster Flats - The largest flats system in North America, the Brewster Flats offer over 12,000 acres of clear, shallow water—perfect for sight fishing striped bass. These vast sand flats require stealthy movement, sharp eyes, and accurate presentations. This is technical fishing at its finest and most rewarding.

Monomoy Flats - Open to the Atlantic and shaped by shifting tides, the Monomoy Island flats provide an ever-changing canvas for fly anglers. These expansive shallows are rich with opportunity but demand patience and precision to fool cruising stripers in skinny water.

This trip is entirely wade-based—no boat involved—and requires a good level of physical fitness. Anglers must be prepared to walk 2 to 4 miles in ankle- to hip-deep water over the course of the session. It’s a fully immersive, on-foot experience that rewards dedication and attention to detail.

All rods, lines, leaders, and flies are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own gear. Waders are not included, so please bring your own along with proper sun protection, polarized sunglasses, and appropriate footwear for walking the flats.

Captain George is fully licensed and insured. Timeliness is essential—trips run on a schedule, and late arrivals may result in cancellation.

If you're an experienced angler looking to challenge yourself in one of the most iconic flats fisheries in the Northeast, this walk-and-wade trip with Captain George delivers the kind of focused, technical fly fishing that will sharpen your skills and leave you with lasting memories.
