About Your Trip

Climb aboard the 31-foot Tiara Open and get ready for six hours of nonstop action chasing one of Lake St. Clair’s most sought-after game fish—Smallmouth Bass. These trips are tailor-made for anglers looking to dial in on these aggressive, hard-fighting fish using a variety of hands-on techniques. Whether you're casting or drifting live bait, this Smallmouth-focused adventure offers a targeted, skill-driven experience that puts you right in the heart of the action.

Lake St. Clair
is one of the top Smallmouth fisheries in North America, and for good reason. These bass are known for their powerful runs, acrobatic jumps, and pure tenacity. With a knowledgeable crew guiding you through the lake’s most productive areas, you’ll explore a range of strategies throughout your trip—from drifting over rocky bottoms and casting into shallow flats —all carefully chosen based on conditions and fish movement that day.

Your fishing platform is a well-outfitted 1990 Tiara 3100 Open, a 31-foot vessel with a spacious 12-foot beam that gives everyone plenty of room to cast and fight fish comfortably. Built by Tiara S2 Yachts, the boat features a full suite of amenities including a galley, dinette, and private head to keep the day smooth and comfortable. Outfitted with top-of-the-line electronics and specialized tackle, this rig is designed to maximize your chances of hooking into those chunky Smallies.

All fishing gear is provided—rods, reels, and the precise tackle needed to match the day’s conditions and target Smallmouth with pinpoint precision. All you need to bring are the essentials: sunglasses and sunblock, a hat, jacket, and layered clothing like a sweatshirt to handle shifting weather. Be sure to wear proper footwear such as boat shoes, tennis shoes, or water shoes—no flip flops or black-soled shoes. Pack some rain gear just in case, along with your favorite snacks, plenty of water, any necessary medications, and motion sickness pills if needed. Don’t forget your camera—those bronze-backed bruisers make for awesome photo ops.

A one-day fishing license will be required, but wait to purchase it until the crew confirms whether you’ll be fishing Ontario or Michigan waters, based on weather and seasonal considerations. They’ll let you know the day before your trip.

This six-hour Smallmouth trip is all about precision, technique, and adrenaline-pumping fights with one of the most exciting fish in freshwater. If you’re ready to cast, drift, and troll your way to bass glory, this trip was made for you.
