Buckle up for the ultimate offshore adventure with Captain David on his full-day 12-hour Federal Water Trip—designed for the serious angler ready to chase the Gulf’s biggest and baddest fish! This trip takes you far beyond the Mississippi state waters and deep into the federally regulated bluewater zones, where the pelagic predators roam and the reef dwellers grow extra large.

Captain David will lead your group out to remote offshore wrecks, ledges, and deepwater structure in pursuit of a trophy catch and a cooler full of premium fish. The main attractions on this trip are Red Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Cobia, Amberjack, and Blackfin Tuna, but that’s just the start. Depending on the season and conditions, you could also hook into Gag Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Scamp Grouper, and even a Snowy Grouper from the depths—or get lucky with a high-speed hookup on a King Mackerel or Bluefin Tuna.

You’ll be using a combination of offshore techniques including bottom fishing over wrecks and reefs, trolling weedlines and current edges, deep jigging structure, and free-lining live bait for pelagics cruising the surface. Whether you’re targeting fish deep on the bottom or blasting across the open Gulf chasing birds and boils, Captain David and his experienced first mate will keep you dialed in all day long.

Your battle wagon for the day is a 28’ McKee Craft center console, loaded with offshore capabilities and designed for both range and comfort. With seating for up to 6 anglers, this rig is outfitted with GPS, radar, outriggers, a live bait well, wireless trolling motor, fishfinder, an enclosed console with a toilet, and plenty of dry storage. There’s also an onboard ice box to keep your drinks cold and your catch fresh.

Everything you need for a successful trip is included: high-quality rods, reels, tackle, bait, and lures—plus all necessary federal fishing licenses. And when you return to the dock, Captain David and his mate will clean and bag your catch free of charge, so you’re ready to head home or straight to the grill.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
