Fishing reports straight from our guides in Belleair
The last couple of weeks have been a good mix bag of fish. Offshore the Red grouper bite continues to be good on the nearshore ledges along with lane snapper, mangrove snapper, Grunts and Spanish mackerel have moved in. The inshore has been good early morning with a solid reddish bite and snook on the beachs. You can also find mangrove snapper around the bridges and dock, small sheeps head are showing up as well.

Bottom fishing has been great flounder are around plenty of gag grouper an hogfish are heating up
Mackerel are showing up day by day with the sharks as well
Inshore plenty of trout mangrove snapper ladyfish jacks
Snook an reds are spotty but good size

Cobia, flounder, gag grouper, nearshore; trout and redfish inshore. Bite is excellent right now and gag grouper season just opened up on September 1st. Only open until the end of the month

We’ve been putting some serious fish on deck lately — cobia, mangrove snapper, gag grouper, and red grouper have all been chewing.
We’re mixing it up and staying on the bite, using live bait, cut bait, shrimp, and throwing jigs, depending on what the fish want. And it hasn’t mattered whether we’re fishing daytime or after dark — the action has been steady.
