Steelhead fishing is starting to pick up on the Manistee River. With the warmer temperatures arriving. The fishing will get very good in the weeks to come.

The report is from today is terrific fall Walleye fishing. Water temperature is 52゚ and we're still throwing jigs tipped with shiners or imitation. It's getting cold, so we've seen a few musky flapping around the water chasing food.

Walleye fishing will improve as the fish work their way back toward Lake Erie. Look for perch to move toward the shore. Good trout and salmon action up in port Huron.

Fishing is starting to pick up! The perch are starting to come in but are still a little slow. The water is still a little too warm, but in the next couple weeks it should be turning out to be pretty good as long as the winds lay down!

Hard to believe another salmon season has come and gone here on northern lake Michigan. The last 3 weeks many salmon have left the big lake and entered into the river systems to do their spawning. However that does not mean that you cannot go out on the big water and still catch 1 in 2 year olds on the days that the wind allows you to get out

Brian was a fantastic fishing guide. It was me and my two young boys and he did a great job of helping them out and moving around to find fish. Highlight was a 26 inch pike that my ten year old reeled in. Highly recommend and would use him again when in the area.
Captain Jerry was absolutely amazing. Our Father's Day fishing trip was so much fun. Thank you Captain Jerry and First Mate Hayden for helping our family make wonderful memories. I highly recommend!!!!
The trip is great! Kurt and his dad are very welcoming and do a great job of making sure everyone is enjoying themselves. We went on the bass trip and caught 25 between the 4 of us. Most of them were TANKS. A 5 pounder was caught as well. Very recommended for a family or group of friends. Musky trip next !
Had a great time. It was my grandson’s first steelhead experience. He loved it.
Joe is one of the best guides I’ve dealt with. There have been many and he crushed it.

PS
Would you have Joe text me the pictures he took today. Thanks Nate
Fished with Captain Justin on Muskegon Lake for walleyes on Sunday, September 14 from 4-8 pm. We fished 6 lines with planer boards and did not have a strike. Sometimes that is fishing. I still plan to book another trip next year.
The trip with Captain Fred was great! My boys enjoyed immensely as did I ! I highly recommend Fred but I also highly recommend using a different platform, this one charges too much, 15% from the captain and another $72 from the client. $200 is a a quarter of the cost of the trip charge . Airbnb and Vrbo don’t charge that much.
