Fishing is starting to pick up! The perch are starting to come in but are still a little slow. The water is still a little too warm, but in the next couple weeks it should be turning out to be pretty good as long as the winds lay down!

Hard to believe another salmon season has come and gone here on northern lake Michigan. The last 3 weeks many salmon have left the big lake and entered into the river systems to do their spawning. However that does not mean that you cannot go out on the big water...

However that does not mean that you cannot go out on the big water and still catch 1 in 2 year olds on the days that the wind allows you to get out

Right now fishing is kind of at a standstill, been fishing Lake Saint Clair. Bass fishing has moved into the channels of the Saint Clair River

St. Joe fishing has been on fire with limits of lake trout every morning and double digit catches almost every afternoon. Most fish are coming deep on downriggers and divers. With some really nice kings being take on long Morgan's coppers pulled by church tackle to 44s.

King Salmon fishing remains good here in August on northern Lake Michigan many 20 to 30 lbs catches. Salmon flys behind Attractors along with meat rigs behind attractors glo spoons working very early morning in the low light. Typically Salmon hang out in the Thermalcline upper 40° to 50° temps...

Fishing has been good outta st joe, been having a nice mix of lake trout and king salmon with our biggest topping the scales at 22.8. Most fish are being caught on dreamweaver spins drs with either spin n glow or flies behind them on divers and riggers on the bottom or deep Morgan's copper pulled by church tackel tx 44 planner boards in 120-160 foot of water. Best action coming in the morning or as the sunsets.
