Fishing has been great lately. We've been using live shrimp and popping corks and soft plastics for the win. Trout have been good on open water structure and redfish on shallow reefs.

Shark Fishing has been epic! Lots of nice blacktip sharks have been around the jetty area as well as a few big hammerhead sharks and many others.

Fishing has been good here in Matagorda. The heavy rains, last week, slowed things to a halt but we're back on fish now.
Tailing reds in the clear waters of West Matagorda Bay have been worth chasing. Crab patterns have proven the most effective.

My grandson and two great grandsons enjoyed a day on the water with Robert, (captain BOB). He explained how to and where to fish. As we caught different species of fish he explained what each one was and the differences between each. It was the day after a storm so the water was a little rough but his boat was sufficiate for the task. The end of the day ended with my grandson catching a forty someting pound shark (by Bobs estimation, we did not put it in the boat. Overall a great day on the water! Thanks to BOB !!
