We have an ungodly amount of coho salmon in the rivers right now. Brown trout and steelhead are also mixed in, just not in good numbers yet. We're doing a lot of casting and retrieving of hard lures, such as spinners and crank baits. As well as float fishing bobbers and beads to imitate salmon eggs.

Fishing is starting to pick up! The perch are starting to come in but are still a little slow. The water is still a little too warm, but in the next couple weeks it should be turning out to be pretty good as long as the winds lay down!

Hard to believe another salmon season has come and gone here on northern lake Michigan. The last 3 weeks many salmon have left the big lake and entered into the river systems to do their spawning. However that does not mean that you cannot go out on the big water and still catch 1 in 2 year olds on the days that the wind allows you to get out

Fishing has been good catching some nice size coho and getting a mixed bag of fish from steelhead to lake trout and some nice kings are showing up more

St. Joe fishing has been on fire with limits of lake trout every morning and double digit catches almost every afternoon. Most fish are coming deep on downriggers and divers. With some really nice kings being take on long Morgan's coppers pulled by church tackle to 44s.
