The sun finally came out and the wind stopped blowing. Tides are coming up and putting lots of feeding fish in very shallow, clear water. They have been a little picky about what flies they want, but they are aggressively chasing shrimp

Fishing has been great over the last 7 days, but totally different this year than previous years. Usually by now the sheepshead have started moving out and the reds are gettin full on hungry and bitin, but we are still catching some sheeps as of yesterday along with more keeper reds, some trout, flounder and even some bull reds. Wind has been pretty brutal, so jetty fishing is hard this time of year, but we are seeing some bull reds move into the jetty along with jack crevalle. The flats have been hit or miss and you just have to...

The flats have been hit or miss and you just have to really know fish patterns to stay on top of finding them. There are bull reds bitin in spots I haven’t seen before, and the trout seem to be much more active, but we are catchin lots of shorts. It’s not hard to find fish, but it is fun this time of year to figure out what the fish are bitin on and when they are the hungriest. They might love some soft plastics one day, then hate them the next and want some live bait. That might even be the same scenario from morning to afternoon and since I am on the water almost every day, I see the changes. Yesterday was a slam of a great morning with my two customers, but by my afternoon trip with only one customer on the boat, even though we caught 8 different species of fish, all but two were short of being keepers. We did come home with fish for him to take home for dinner, but we fought hard for it!

With temperatures on the rise the reds have been moving into the back lakes. Perfect for chasing them with the airboat where outboards can't go.

Fishing is heating up in the Aransas Pass area right along with the weather!
As the water temperatures rise fish will become more aggressive making it much easier for us to pin point a feeding pattern.
Redfish and keeper sized black drum have been the target species these last few weeks. Fresh dead shrimp has been the bait of choice for the black drum. Some days they prefer the shrimp completely peeled. Always give that a try if they don't seem to like it with the shell on.
Most of our Redfish catches have been while using fresh dead shrimp...

Most of our Redfish catches have been while using fresh dead shrimp
or cut up blue crab. Also a few on live pinfish and cut mullet.
Seasons are changing fast and spring break is only a few weeks away. Fishing should only get better from here. Come on down and try your luck!

Cory was an awesome guide. He was very communicative by calling ahead and making sure we had a plan tailored to our family. The fish were finicky, as they can be, but Cory kept at it and made sure we had a great trip!

Chase and Marshall were awesome. They took a boat of 3 13 yr olds and an 11 yr old and the dads on separate boat. Everyone had a great time and we landed 2 huge 40” bulls!!

Captain Cory is fantastic to fish with. He checked in well ahead of the trip to let me know what I needed to bring and see if I had any questions. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions on wade fishing. Of course he also put us on fish, and we caught trout and redfish which he even cleaned. Looking forward to going out with him again in the future.
