Lake Austin Report. Crappie fair on chartreuse jigs tipped with Gulp alive waxies in 20-30ft water. Catfish fair on cut frozen shad. Whitebass fair on MAL lure when schools are found in deeper water. Bluegills good on redworms around brushpiles.

The moving bait bite has been on fire recently. Catching them out of grass that tops out anywhere between 8-3 feet deep on cranks and swimjigs.

Lake Travis: Name of the game right now is just find the right spot! The fishing can be slow until you find the right spot right now. Tough to find a repeatable pattern, but when you find the right little spot, it can be lights out! We are doing the best on steeper banks / offshore ledges with a drop shot rigged finesse worm. Fish quickly and cover water until you get a bite or two and then slow way down to see how many fish may be there!

Great trip, Jake was easy to communicate with, organized & on time, and super to fish with! We went out with my fishy 5 year old and Jake was very patient and kind, helping us get great casts at all sorts of spots all over the lake. Even my son commented “you are really nice!” Caught lots of large mouth and Guadalupe, and even a drum. It was a beautiful day on the water. We will definitely go out again with Jake!
