Today’s second time repeat LiveScope customer had to put in the work, but it paid off with 20 solid keepers in the box. 💪🎣
Bounced around to about a dozen spots to make it happen, with 5–6 throwbacks along the way. Fish were caught in 12–33 FOW, with the stronger bite coming in the deeper water (20–33’).
Water temps held steady around 55–57°. Those crappie were tucked tight to the brush and lying right on the bottom.
Lemon Lime plastics produced some bites, but the majority came on chartreuse & white and pink & black jigs from TMT Fishing and

January 2026- Lake Travis - fish are out deep on ledges and channel swings in 30 to 40 ft, fish very slowly with soft plastics like a drop shot or wacky worm, jigs with craw trailers also working well with a slow presentation, when the bass are feeding and a little bit more active we are catching them on umbrella rigs, small finesse swim baits, and crank baits with a very tight wobble like a rapala shad rap.

Inks Lake is currently at a normal level with stained water and about 3–4 feet of visibility. Water temperatures have dropped into the low 50s, and bass are beginning to group up as winter conditions continue to settle in. Overall, cloudy days have been producing slightly better action than bright, sunny conditions.
The most consistent bite right now has come from crankbaits and jigs worked around rocky areas in 2–14 feet of water. Bass are often holding tightly in small areas, so while there may be slow stretches between bites, it’s common to catch multiple fish once an active group...

The most consistent bite right now has come from crankbaits and jigs worked around rocky areas in 2–14 feet of water. Bass are often holding tightly in small areas, so while there may be slow stretches between bites, it’s common to catch multiple fish once an active group is located. With a strong cold front moving in, anglers can expect the lake to transition even more firmly into classic winter fishing patterns in the coming days.
Slow but bringing a few fish over the rail! A few reds, gulf trout, sheepshead and pup drum in the bay and Galveston Jetty-Channel area on live shrimp. And a few flounder still hanging around

Had a great time with with Captain Steven, he pulled out every trick and spot he had. It was a tough day for everyone but we had a good time anyways! I'll schedule another trip again in the fall.
My Family and I had Fantastic Fishing Experience with Captain Arturo…!!! He was absolutely amazing with his knowledge and patient with showing the proper techniques to catch an abundance of fish. So much, that other Captains came to the spot where we were fishing lol. Looking forward to the next trip with my family to South Padre and I will definitely be planning my fishing trip moving forward with Arturo 🎣
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had an outstanding trip with Captain Anthony. The weather forecast ended up being way off, and we were dealing with 3–4 foot swells, but that didn’t stop him from putting us on the trout. His experience and determination really showed, and he worked hard to make sure we had a successful day on the water.
I took my three boys, and every one of us had an incredible time. The boat was clean, comfortable, and handled the rough conditions with ease. Captain Anthony was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and made the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish.
If you’re looking for a captain who knows how to find fish even when the conditions aren’t ideal, I highly recommend booking with Captain Anthony. We’ll definitely be back!
It may not have been our day to pull sharks out of the water but Tristan and his team made for a fantastic experience.. I asked lots of questions about the strategies they used to fish and learned so much. My family enjoyed their time and we will be looking forward to a future guided fish trip. Thanks again guys. Be safe out there
We had such a fantastic time with Tim! We took the half-day tour, and we even wrapped it up early because we had limited out on Trout. Tim was such a great and funny guide, showing us how and where to throw the bait/lures so we could catch fish—and we did! I would definitely recommend Tim for your next fishing trip to SPI. We’re always booking with Tim when we’re back here.
