Fishing report from Brandon D. in Cape Coral, Florida Book a trip with Captain Brandon here.

Fall is here and despite temperatures keeping pace with the typical summer heat we are seeing fall arrive in the form of an unbelievable fish bite. The fall months in southwest Florida is known for one of the greatest red drum fishing experiences found anywhere. These redfish are schooling up and eating everything in sight to prepare for their spawn season. These schools are mostly upper slot to over slot fish most measuring in the 30 inch range. We are finding an abundance of slot redfish around the mangrove islands as well along with plenty of great snook action. Our trout fishing is getting great as well, they are gaining size and we are starting to see the bigger slot fish arrive over the grass flats. Fall is one of the best times to fish the waters of Pine Island, the fish are feisty, water temps will be dropping and it’s only getting better from here on out.

Fishing report from Cody P. in Dickinson, Texas Book a trip with Captain Cody here.

Man the last few weeks have been so much fun! Literally non-stop action from the beginning of the trip to the very end. Some trips we even had to go buy more bait because we had caught so many! We have been targeting oyster reefs in 2 to 4 ft of water on an incoming tide with a popping cork and shrimp suspended 1 ft below the cork! From monster reds to delicious speckled trout and black drum with the occasional big sheep head in the mix! If you're looking for a Non-Stop action trip with lots of laughs, give me a shout!

The bay fishing throughout the past week has been a little tougher due to the heavy rains. Still catching speckled trout on both live and artificial baits. Larger soft plastics in natural mullet colors have been more productive. Try to find some baitfish and the larger fish should be in close proximity. Deeper water has also been yielding some larger redfish. The shallow grass flats are active towards the north end of the bay. Seeing some black drum on the calmer days. Should get better as the fresh water works its way out of the bay.
