We are still in a bit of a transition. As the water temperature begins to drop. Soon the migration will be in full force into the back bays and estuaries and Caloosahatchee river. The trout bite has been hot with a few being caught over 20 inches. Lots of juvenile redfish around as they begin to move in from the Gulf. I also have been seeing a few permit on the Inshore grass flats. They are a lot of fun to catch as they pullback pretty hard!

The bite has been hot! Even with this cold front, we've had a great snook & tarpon bite. There has been plenty of Pilchards around which has made live bait fishing our first choice. We have seen some juvenile Cubera Snapper as well. The inshore bite has been great recently

Cold weather has the redfish, snook and trout fired up! Water clarity is improving and water temps are dropping in the bay so sight casting big redfish and snook in shallow water is awesome right now. Big tides and prime water temps have our big predatory fish active and eating all day. 30-40 fish per trip right now is the norm so inshore fishing is on fire right now.
Cold weather has the redfish, snook and trout fired up! The holiday season is upon us in Sarasota, Florida and the fish seem to know it. Our fishing charter customers had success targeting Snook, Redfish, Trout and Jacks in the shallow flats of Sarasota bay. As water temperatures dropped we found fish congregated on low tides in deeper mud holes in the buttonwood bay area on the back side of Longboat Key. On higher tides we found fish on top of shallow oyster bars around the bully creek area near the Sarasota airport. The nearshore fishing in Sarasota was also hot on the public reefs in front of Siesta, Lido and Longboat Key. Our customers enjoyed catch and clean fishing charters catching Kingfish, Triple tail, Cobia and Snappers.

Fall fishing is in full swing with water temperatures dropping plenty of fish showing up from small tarpon to Goliath groupers and snappers mixed for dinner at a local restaurant this was a 4hr trip landed 3-4 tarpon 6 snooks 6 Goliath groupers 1 red fish and a limit of snappers for dinner
