This is our highest-tier, year-round offering for serious anglers with something to prove....... and (perhaps a hefty seafood appetite). First on the agenda is some trolling action. You will troll off-and-on throughout the day: first on the way to your first fishing spot, on your way back to Destin, and also on longer runs in between spots. We also sometimes switch to (or stay with) primarily trolling efforts if you catch your limit of your primary target-fish or if the trolling action just happens to be on fire, but the #1 objective overall is quality bottom fish for your whole group. On the 12 hour fishing trip, you can expect to be targeting a large variety of species, based on season and availability. On the trolling lines, we will be tempting the most highly desired top-water fish like King Mackerel, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Bonita, and more. When we arrive at the bottom-fishing spots, we will be hunting down any and all premium species that are in season- probably one or more of the many types of Grouper or the elite Red Snapper. You will likely also bring in some of the following: Vermillion Snapper (locally known as Mingo Snapper), White Snapper, Black Snapper, and Porgys. Get out there with Captain Joey and spend the day going after a wide range of popular gamefish species, including Jacks, Mackerel, Amberjack, Cobia, Snappers, Groupers, and even the occasional Mahi. These classic Florida gamefish offer a little bit of everything—hard fighting, delicious eating, and amazing pictures! We are located behind Dewey Destin’s on the harbor. We share a parking lot with Luther’s Pontoon and Dewey’s. Please pull all the way down the hill to the water the morning of (free parking) and we can get everyone loaded up. We recommend you bring drinks/snacks and sunscreen. It will be hot! But we do have AC inside the boat as well as a restroom. We leave the dock at 5:30am so we ask if you could try and come a few minutes early so we can get everyone signed in and load your bags on the boat. A run down of our shark fishing charters: We make our way to our shark fishing spot, which is only about 10 mins away/less than a mile off shore. Then we will then throw the anchor and chum the waters with carcasses from the previous day and get our 3 big shark rods out. We have them all at different levels, one at the bottom, one mid-water and one floating on top. After we get those out and everyone is comfy we will get a couple of bottom fishing rods out to try and catch some snappers, trigger fish, etc. This is what we will do while we wait for the shark bite. The sharks will smell our chum and come to us so we have to be patient. Once we get the shark hooked up, we will get all of the other rods reeled in, throw the poly ball connected to our anchor and fight the shark. On your private charter, we’ll venture out to the Deep Sea Nearshore waters on the Gulf of Mexico for a 4, 5 or 6 hour trip to target a wide range of species to include Snapper, Grouper, Mahi, Mackerel, Tuna, Cobia and Sharks. We’re typically fishing well within sight of land anywhere between 2 - 9 miles offshore, but don’t think for a moment this has an impact on the quality or the quantity of the fish you’ll catch!
