This is a 6 hour bait fishing trip. We will leave the launch around 6 am and will return around 12pm. We will be fishing from a 2020 Tournament Edition CCB Grande with updated GPS and fish finder. While fishing we will be targeting Redfish, Flounder, Sea Trout, and Black Drum. I will clean all fish for you after the day of fishing. I strive for conservation of the local fishery therefore since the 2021 freeze even though regulations have returned to normal, I have a rule of 3 Trout maximum of 15"-20" to be kept. All oversized Trout and Redfish will be Catch, Photo, Release. I will supply all light tackle rods, reels, and lures needed for you to enjoy your day of fishing. You will NEED to bring your waders/boots. You will need to wear Sun Protection (Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses). I will provide water and Gatorade. You will need to provide your own snacks. Safety is a priority and there will be a First Aid kit and fire extinguisher on the boat if needed. Read More

trip description for Rockport Bay Fishing Trip in Rockport

Captain Will is the real deal! He knows how to get you on the Redfish, Trout, Drum, and Flounder for a spectacular day off the coast of South Texas! Based out of the Rockport area, he primarily fishes the Aransas, Copano, St. Charles, Carlos, Mesquite, Ayres, and San Antonio Bays, but can also take you out of Aransas Pass. Though he is willing to accommodate other pickup locations, he likes to launch out of Goose Island State Park aboard his 2019 22' TransCat. This vessel is equipped with a 250 HP Suzuki motor that provides a comfortable and quick ride out to chase the fish. This boat likes to get "skinny", and is perfect for chasing tailing Reds into shallow water. It also comes with a power pole, trolling motor, t-top, and front fishing deck with plenty of room to fish with four guests. Once out on the water, Captain Will likes to fish with mostly live bait, cut bait, and some artificial. He will provide everything from rods, reels, tackle, bait, to a cooler of ice for the catch and a memorable day on the water! So all you need to bring is a cooler with your favorite snacks/drinks, a camera for bragging rights, and your Texas Fishing license, and let Captain Will take care of the rest! Read More

trip description for Rockport Tx Wade Fishing in Rockport

This will be a full day of wade fishing the Rockport Tx bay systems. We will use a variety of different Artifical lures from soft plastics to top waters primarily targeting trophy trout and redfish. I will provide all the tackle as far as lures go. But you are more than welcome and encouraged to bring your favorite and most confident baits. You will be required to bring all your own gear consisting of waders and boots, wading belts with pliers and stringers and last but not least your own rods. I do recommend each customer bring 2 rods incase one accidentally breaks or has a malfunction. I can provide beginners rods and reels for an additional cost of $50 per rod. One more thing that I hope won’t be a deal breaker but since the major freeze a few years ago I along with a lot of the Texas guides do “Not” allow clients to keep any trout. Our trout fishery especially here in the rockport area took a major hit during the freeze. With that being said, It is coming back and there is plenty of trout action to have but if we want it to have a chance to get back to the way it was and hopefully even better and long lasting we have to continue to let them go and grow. Like I said I really hope that isn’t a deal breaker. Read More

trip description for Wade fishing in Aransas Pass

This trip is wade fishing or drift fishing only with artificial lures. My wade fishing trips are typically a 4-5hr trip for a half day. Clients bring their own rod, reel and waders if needed. I can provide wade boxes and lures. My personal rods are available with a deposit that is non refundable if the reel touches the water. We will start our morning with a short boat ride to a flat or back lake to locate fish. I will help teach you how to attack an area with the wind, structure and how to present the bait to fish. I love to teach new anglers and experienced waders alike. After fishing we will head back in where I will clean your catch for the day if you choose to keep some for dinner. Read More

Larry is the man! Great at teaching the “why” of fishing and helping you learn some new tips and tricks. It doesn’t hurt that we caught a ton of redfish and trout as well. If you want to catch fish on artificials, this is your guy.

The boys had a good time, they mentioned it was right after a large tournament so it was a little slow on the fishing but they had a good time .

Larry, was punctual, knowledgable and nice to spend a half day with fishing out of Aransas Pass. I'd recommend him.

Capt. Larry is a true professional. He quickly developed realistic expectation and promptly delivered and then some. My two teenagers and I showed up never having done anything like this before. Capt. Larry explained that conditions were not ideal, but we should still catch a few. First thing took us to a proven spot, it took a little bit, but my 13-year-old daughter picked up a couple in the first 3-+- minutes. Larry knew immediately what was going on with the fish and put us all in position, we stayed pretty much in the same spot for the rest of the day and did very well. All we caught wee Redfish; we caught several in the 5.5#+ class. We had a great day. Or second day was a good day as well, each of us caught enough fish to feel like we knew what we were doing. Larry has a great way about him to make you feel comfortable and is very capable. We will come back again as long as we can fish with him. MT

This was one of the best things I ever booked. This was a surprise for my boyfriend and he had an awesome time. I came into this with very limited knowledge of fishing and left extremely confident in the fishing skills Larry had taught me. We each caught one fish, however that’s because we saw dolphins!!! I told Larry I really would like to see more dolphins and man he delivered!! Dolphins swam straight up to the boat it was amazing to see them in their natural habitat. Larry was very interested in what WE wanted to do and he was an amazing guide. I will for sure be bringing my father in law back to fish with Larry. 100% recommend!!!

Everything went well and I had a lot of fun. Larry explained that the February freeze kinda depleted much of the population of fish and the Park Game & Wildlife had to get stricter on being able to keep the fish now. But I still had lots of fun.

First time doing a fishing trip. Captain Larry was very welcoming. He sent me reminders the day before the trip and called me to talk about how the trip would go, suggestions, and questions I had. He was very informational with showing me the basics of fishing and I learned to cast perfectly. Ended up catching a few fish!

Denny R. with Larry B. of Aransas Pass, Texas

Captain Larry was great at teaching us how to wade fish and fish with lures instead of live bait. He was very patient with the kids and we all caught fish! It was a great trip overall.

Capt. Randy was fantastic. He put us on some great fish while others were striking out.

Booked a trip with Capt. Larry and had a great time on the water. He put me on fish at every spot we went to. He explained the what and why for everything we were doing and definitely turned it into one big learning experience. I would definitely recommend him as a guide and I will be using him again for future trips.

Took me and my son out and taught us how to fish the bay; not just go out and catch fish. And yes we hit our limits while doing so. Will definitely go out with again in the future. Had a blast wade fishing.

Larry called us the day before to check in. He offered to pick us up in Port A, which was more convenient than getting to Aransas Pass. He was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. I would use him again.
