Morning and full-day trips will typically depart at sunrise (6:00 am summer and 7:00 am winter). If schedule allows we can adjust departure times to accommodate your requests. Evening departure times will depend on the time of year. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed in moderation. However, if the consumption of alcohol becomes a safety issue, we reserve the right to terminate your trip early without a refund. You must always follow the captain’s instructions while on board. Our most important concern is your safety and the safety of everyone on board. You will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability Agreement prior to boarding. At 38 feet long and almost 14 feet wide, the vessel offers lots of shaded space, two AC systems, satellite TV and music, and a legendary hull design. Needless to say, you will be much more comfortable than on most other boats. It’s equipped with state-of-the-art electronics, safety equipment including a satellite phone, epirb, and 8 man life raft. Two captains run trips often at the same time, Danny is the fishing expert, and JT is a diving expert. The boat is powered by twin 420 horsepower Yanmar diesel engines that are meticulously maintained by the Captains. For fishing, the equipment includes premium bottom fishing rods and reels, Penn international bent butt trolling rod and reels, and two heavy-duty electric reels for deep dropping in 350 + feet. The navigation system has more than 3000 way points saved over the years known to hold fish. The tackle on board will accommodate all types of possible offshore fishing. Half-Day Charters targets kingfish and blacktip sharks. 10 Hour Charters targets reef fish like snappers and grouper. The beautiful vessel is powered by twin 420 horsepower Yanmar diesel engines that are meticulously maintained by Captain JT. After Captain JT has cranked up the engines, you'll motor offshore a ways to spend the day bottom fishing for Grouper, Golden tile, Amberjack and whatever else emerges from the blue depths! When the bite slows down toward the afternoon, Captains JT and Danny will haul in the lines, and motor out a little deeper to the 80-110 mile range. While you get some much-needed R&R, they will get the boat into position for the Tuna bite early the next morning. The Tuna bite is usually on a couple of hours before sunrise, so after a couple of hours of sleep, you'll wake up around 4 am to start jigging for Tuna! This is one of the only times slots when big tuna come up from the deep to feed and they are usually swimming back down to deeper water by the time the sun comes up. So you'll jig until that sun comes up then troll around in the rest of the morning before you motor back in! Head on down to Freeport Texas and experience an action-packed day of fishing with Captain Corey. On the day of your trip you'll head out aboard Captain Corey's 23' Stoner Super Cat to explore the bays and backwater grass lines around Freeport. You can fish from the boat or get out and wade depending on your preference, but either way your main quarry for the day will be Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, and the occasional Sheepshead as well. Corey likes to fish live bait or artificials and has his secret spots for each species if you have a preference or he has a couple locations where all three+ can be present. Just let him know what you're goals are for the day and he will be willing to accommodate! Make sure to bring a valid Texas fishing license as well as snacks and drinks of your choice (no glass).
