Spend a day exploring the rich waters of Lake Texoma with Captain Josh, a guide with over 30 years of experience fishing the lake. These year-round striper trips are a great way to enjoy the outdoors, learn the local patterns, and target one of the lake’s most popular gamefish.

Captain Josh uses fresh-caught live shad—the top natural forage for Striper on Texoma—and will guide you through effective techniques to make the most of your time on the water. Mornings typically start before sunrise and run until midday, with afternoon trips available seasonally depending on conditions.

You’ll fish from a well-equipped 2020 Excel Bay Pro 230, powered by a Suzuki 250 and rigged with everything you need for a comfortable day: quality rods and reels, tackle, bait, and adult life jackets. Fish cleaning and bagging is included for Striper and Catfish, so you can head home with fresh fillets after a successful trip.

These trips are well-suited for anglers of all experience levels and can accommodate individuals, families, or groups. Captain Josh focuses on safety, a personalized experience, and giving each guest the best chance to enjoy a productive day on the water.

Please bring a Lake Texoma fishing license, food and drinks, sun protection, and a small cooler if needed. Guests under 13 must bring a Coast Guard-approved life vest that fits properly and must wear it at all times on the boat.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
