If you're looking to experience one of the best Walleye fisheries in North America, this Saginaw Bay trolling trip is hard to beat. Join Captain Jay and spend the day targeting Michigan's most sought-after freshwater gamefish while exploring the productive waters of Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron.

Known for both their excellent table fare and spirited fights, Walleye draw anglers from across the country to these waters each spring and summer. Captain Jay has spent decades learning the patterns of the Great Lakes and knows how to stay on active fish throughout the season. Using proven trolling techniques, he'll work to keep multiple lines in the water and cover productive areas efficiently to maximize your opportunities.

You'll fish aboard a comfortable 26' Trophy walkaround equipped with modern GPS and fish-finding electronics, downriggers, a live bait well, cooler space, and a portable restroom. The boat is ideally suited for groups of up to four anglers and provides a comfortable platform for a productive day on the water.

Half-Day Trips (4-Hour PM & 6-Hour AM)

These trips are a great option for families, first-time Walleye anglers, or anyone looking to enjoy a productive day on the water without committing to a full day. You'll spend your time trolling proven Walleye waters while Captain Jay adjusts presentations and locations to stay on the bite. Yellow Perch occasionally make an appearance and are always a welcome bonus.

Full-Day Walleye Adventure

For anglers looking to maximize their chances and spend more time on productive fishing grounds, the full-day trip offers the ultimate Saginaw Bay experience. With eight hours on the water, Captain Jay can cover more territory, follow active schools, and adapt to changing conditions throughout the day.

All rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait are included. Depending on the conditions, live minnows or nightcrawlers may be part of the day's program. At the end of your trip, Captain Jay will clean and fillet your Walleye so they're ready for the table.

Just bring a valid Michigan fishing license, your favorite snacks and drinks, and get ready to see why Saginaw Bay has earned its reputation as one of the premier Walleye destinations in the country.

Captain Jay has spent more than 30 years fishing the waters of the Great Lakes and has built a reputation for helping anglers experience some of Michigan's best freshwater fisheries. Since becoming a licensed charter captain in 2009, he has guided guests across Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Saginaw Bay, the Detroit River, and the frozen waters of Saginaw Bay during ice fishing season.

What sets Captain Jay apart is his versatility. Whether he's trolling for Salmon on Lake Michigan, chasing Walleye on Saginaw Bay, vertical jigging the Detroit River, or transporting guests across the ice by snowmobile in the middle of winter, he brings decades of local knowledge and a passion for sharing the sport with others.

Captain Jay enjoys fishing with anglers of all experience levels and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for families, beginners, and seasoned fishermen alike. His laid-back personality, commitment to customer service, and love of the outdoors help make every trip both productive and enjoyable.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
