About Your Trip

If catching hard-fighting Great Lakes salmon is on your fishing bucket list, this trip is a fantastic way to experience everything Lake Michigan has to offer. Join Captain Jay, a Great Lakes angler with more than 30 years of experience, and spend the day chasing some of the most sought-after freshwater gamefish in North America.

These trips focus primarily on Chinook (King) Salmon and Coho Salmon, two species famous for their blistering runs, powerful fights,
and outstanding table fare. Depending on the season and conditions, Steelhead may also make an appearance and provide an exciting bonus catch.

Fishing takes place aboard a well-equipped 26' Trophy walkaround designed specifically for productive days on the Great Lakes. Outfitted with modern GPS and fish-finding electronics, downriggers, and quality trolling equipment, the boat allows Captain Jay to effectively cover water and present multiple baits at varying depths to locate active fish.

Half-Day Morning & Afternoon Trips

The morning 6-hour and afternoon 5-hour trips are perfect for anglers looking to experience Lake Michigan's salmon fishery without committing to a full day on the water. These trips focus on trolling productive waters for Chinook and Coho Salmon, with Captain Jay working to keep multiple lines in the water and cover as much productive water as possible.

Half-day trips are ideal for families, first-time Great Lakes anglers, and visitors looking to fit a fishing trip into their schedule while still enjoying a legitimate shot at quality salmon.

Full-Day Salmon Adventure

For anglers looking to maximize their opportunities, the full-day trip offers the ultimate Lake Michigan experience. With eight hours on the water, Captain Jay can cover more ground, adjust to changing conditions, and spend additional time working active schools of fish.

This trip is the best option for groups hoping to fill the cooler, target larger salmon, or simply enjoy a full day fishing one of North America's premier freshwater fisheries.

All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are included, featuring quality gear from Shimano, Okuma, Penn, Daiwa, and Ugly Stik. At the end of the trip, your catch will be cleaned and filleted so you're ready to enjoy fresh Lake Michigan salmon at home.

Just bring a valid Michigan fishing license, your favorite drinks and snacks, and get ready for an unforgettable day on the water.
