About Your Trip

Chasing Tarpon in the Florida Keys is an exciting rush from beginning to end. Captain John, an extremely knowledgeable and qualified Marathon fishing guide, knows how to tailor the experience for every angler. Whether you’re a novice fisherman or a veteran outdoorsman, he ensures your Marathon fishing trip will be the trip of a lifetime!

Head out Captain John and test your skills against Florida's premier inshore sportfish, the Tarpon. These "Silver Kings" are known
worldwide for their incredible fighting ability, strength, and beauty, and are are a true test for any angler. Between June and July, these impressive fish move up and down the coast, hunting for food. Tides, weather, and the phases of the moon play essential roles in Tarpon behavior, but in the spring and early summer these kings of the inshore are always hungry, biting on both live and artificial bait.

You'll chase the fish from the deck of Captain John's 25' SeaVee center console. She's powered by a 300-HP Suzuki outboard, which will put you on the fish in no time! This boat has everything you could want for a comfortable and successful trip, including GPS, fishfinder, live well, cooler, and a t-top to keep you out of the sun.

Captain John will bring everything you need! All you have to remember is proper clothing, sun protection, and a pair of polarized sunglasses to spot the fish! All Tarpon trips are catch-and-release, so bring a camera to record your prizewinner!
