About Your Trip

Trips will be designed around weather and tide conditions that change daily to get the best chances to catch our target species. Target species include snook, redfish and tarpon with opportunities for tripletail, black drum, speckled trout, and others. Trip times are half day (4 hours), 3/4 day (6 hours), and full day (8 hours). Full days typically launch first thing in the morning then fish the entire tide cycle while a half day can be adjusted based on conditions.
Sight fishing is the objective of a day's trip. I remain on the poling platform and position the boat for you to get the perfect cast at the unsuspecting fish. Fly and light tackle artificial are the techniques used for this, no live bait will be present. The perfect presentation and feeding the fish make for an unforgettable experience.
Trips are typically run out of Goodland Boat Park year round. Trips can be run out of Outdoor Resorts in Chokoloskee or Cocohatchee Marina in North Naples upon request depending on target species and time of year. Redfish and snook can be caught year round while tarpon and tripletail are more seasonal. Tarpon season is typically March-June but evening trips July-September can produce very hungry tarpon while tripletail season is typically late October-March.

Independent Guide
Born a 8th generation Floridian and raised in Tampa, saltwater fishing has been an integral part of Taylor's life for as long as anyone can remember. From a young age he was fortunate enough to explore many different Florida fisheries with his family. As he grew older an unhealthy fascination with tarpon quickly took ahold of him. For as long as he can remember, running a fishing charter is about all Taylor has wanted to do. Taylor now resides in North Naples, a quick drive to 10,000 Islands and the Everglades National Park where the dream of running charters has become a reality. When not running a charter he can be found on the water with his wife, dogs, or friends. You can often find him out until dark studying how different fish and bait pattern when all boats seem to have gone in, finding solace in the quiet wilderness that is 10,000 Islands.

Whether you are a novice or experienced angler, Taylor would love to take you fishing in what he thinks is one of Florida's most beautiful landscapes. Taylor is a fully licensed and insured charter captain. Running charters out of a Maverick HPX-V 17 which can comfortably fish 1-2 anglers for fly fishing and/or light tackle artificial trips. Your trip can be accommodated for your time in the area or you can reach out ahead and reserve a tide best suited for your goal.
