The hull design allows for both skinny water fishing and a comfortable ride to the nearshore reefs if the weather delivers a slight chop. She’s powered by a Mercury 200 horsepower Mercury four-stroke engine providing plenty of power and reliability. Twin 12-foot MinnKota Talons aka ‘shallow water anchoring system’ which allows Captain Jon to anchor the boat without using an anchor, while the Minn Kota Ulterra Trolling motor will quietly sneak up on skittish redfish or move along mangrove shorelines in search of snook and other game fish. Tarpon near Fort Myers can be over 200 pounds and we’re commonly hooking up with 5+ fish per trip. Tarpon fishing at night in Southwest Florida is best during tarpon season from March – August, but it’s also a great year-round bite where you can hook tarpon almost any day of the year!
