About Your Trip

Winter steelhead season is here, and there’s no better way to experience it than a full-day drift boat trip with Captain Jason. Starting at sunrise, you’ll fish some of Oregon’s most productive steelhead rivers, including the Siletz, Umpqua, or Siuslaw. The exact location will depend on water conditions, ensuring you’re fishing where the bite is hottest.

Captain Jason specializes in bobber dogging and bobber fishing, two highly effective techniques for targeting these hard-fighting fish. You’ll
cover plenty of river miles throughout the day, drifting through prime steelhead waters and dialing in on the most productive stretches. Whether you're a seasoned angler or new to steelhead fishing, Captain Jason will guide you every step of the way, helping you maximize your chances of landing one of these prized fish.

You’ll be fishing from an 18’ drift boat, perfectly designed for navigating Oregon’s scenic rivers. All rods, reels, and tackle are provided, so all you need to do is come prepared for a full day on the water. Winter conditions can be chilly and wet, so packing warm clothing and quality rain gear is essential. Be sure to purchase your fishing license the night before, as cell service is often unavailable on the river. Bring along food and drinks to keep yourself fueled, and if you'd like to enjoy a beer, you're welcome to bring some—just no glass containers.

At the end of the trip, Captain Jason will clean and prep your catch so you can take home fresh steelhead fillets. This is a classic Oregon winter adventure, combining beautiful river scenery, expert guidance, and the chance to hook into one of the most sought-after fish in the Pacific Northwest. Book your trip today and get ready for an unforgettable day on the water!
