If you’re ready to fish from sunup to sundown, Captain Zeek’s 12-hour extended day offshore trip is the ultimate way to do it. Designed for serious anglers who want to put in the time and chase big rewards, this trip gives you a full day on the Pacific to hunt down some of the hardest-fighting and most prized fish Southern California has to offer. From deep blue water to productive offshore banks, there’s no telling what the day might bring—but you’ll be geared up and ready for it.

You’ll be fishing aboard a custom 49’ Shaw-Westport sportfisher—USCG UPV Inspected and fully equipped for long-range offshore work. With space for up to six anglers, the boat offers the perfect mix of fishing functionality and creature comforts. It’s outfitted with outriggers, a live bait well, radar, GPS, and a full suite of electronics to help track down pelagics. When it’s time for a break, you’ll appreciate the air-conditioned interior, full bathroom with shower, dining area, kitchen, fridge, and full-sized beds.

Captain Zeek will adapt the day’s tactics to match the conditions and fish activity. Techniques might include trolling, kite fishing, jigging, popping, spinning, drift fishing, or bottom fishing—all depending on what’s showing out deep. Target species include Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Yellowtail Amberjack, White Seabass, Halibut, Lingcod, and Rockfish. With 12 full hours to work with, there’s plenty of time to explore and dial in the bite.

All rods, reels, lures, tackle, and live bait are included, along with complimentary drinks and snacks to keep you going throughout the day. You’re welcome to bring your own food and moderate amounts of alcohol—just skip the glass bottles. Depending on the trip, a First Mate may be aboard to assist with everything from setting lines to handling fish, and a 15–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

Before heading out, make sure everyone in your group purchases a valid California fishing license. Captain Zeek is happy to point you in the right direction if you need help finding one. Sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, layered clothing, and a hat are smart additions for a full day on the water.

This extended day offshore trip is all about maximizing time, distance, and opportunity. Whether you're chasing tuna boils on the horizon or bouncing bottom for bruisers, Captain Zeek is ready to lead the charge for an all-day fishing experience you won’t soon forget.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Ezekiel will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
