About Your Trip

This is your chance to get at some prime Texas coast fishing!

Our trips start out all around the Port Aransas area, with flexible launch points both on the Island and the Aransas pass side. We’ll head straight for some of Port A’s best shallow water flats and marshes, searching mostly clear water for redfish on the prowl. In good conditions you’ll find them belly crawling with backs out of the water, or in large
schools with tails waving back and forth above the surface.

We're running a 2009 Beavertail BTX, one of the more notorious models with a hull designed by the legendary Chris Morejohn, so you know you’ll be on a stable skiff meant to pole straight, silent, and stable. We have both artificial light tackle and fly fishing gear for those feeling more adventurous.

I will do my best to accommodate preferences for start time, fishing locations, or anything else.

Hi, my name is Chandler and I'm the USCG licensed Captain. I'm a lifelong fisherman, growing up around Texas and spending summers fishing the Ozarks in Missouri. I've had the privilege of fish all over the country. From the cliffside reefs of Oahu, to the dark stained waters of the Everglades, nothing gets my heart racing like the shallow marshes and flats of the Texas coast. The only thing I find as exciting as a day out on the water, is one where I get to share my passion with others.

Had a great time on a guided fly fishing trip in Port A with Chandler. It was a windy day, which made casting and poling the skiff a bit challenging, but Chandler stayed positive and was super helpful. I didn’t catch any fish this time, but he gave me great tips to improve my casting. The skiff didn’t have a seat, so I sat on the floor which is totally fine for me solo but something to consider if you’re going with someone else or need more comfort. Overall, a good experience and I’d definitely book with him again!

Response from Chandler:
Thanks for the kind words Jana! I’m glad you had a good time! The skiff does have a bench seat that can accommodate at least one more person next to the captain and I’m sorry if I didn’t make that known in the beginning of the trip. Looking forward to next time!
