About Your Trip

Head offshore with Captain Aaron on a 6-hour wreck fishing adventure that dives into some of the most productive waters Marathon has to offer!

This trip is perfect for anglers looking to level up their fishing experience and take on the heavy hitters lurking around deeper structure. You’ll cruise out aboard Captain Aaron’s 33’ Invincible center console—a smooth, fast, and fully outfitted fishing platform designed to get you on fish and keep you comfortable all
day. With plenty of space for up to 6 anglers, outriggers, quality electronics, and a toilet on board, this ride is dialed in for both performance and convenience.

Once you reach the offshore wrecks and deeper reef systems, the real fun begins. These underwater structures are magnets for a wide variety of gamefish, and Captain Aaron knows exactly how to fish them. Expect to use a mix of techniques including deep dropping for Grouper, jigging for African Pompano, and trolling the surrounding waters for pelagic predators like Wahoo, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, and even Tuna when they’re in the area. Whether you're working jigs through the water column or watching a rod bend deep on a live bait setup, this trip is all about variety and excitement.

The species list is impressive—Black and Gag Grouper hang close to the structure, while Snowy Grouper await deeper down. Mahi Mahi often roam just above the wrecks, and Sailfish can be spotted crashing bait on the surface. African Pompano are known to stack up on these spots as well, offering powerful fights and striking visuals.

As always, Captain Aaron provides top-quality rods, reels, tackle, and bait—including live bait, which you may help catch at the start of the trip. Fishing licenses are included, so all you need to do is hop aboard and get ready for a high-energy day of action.

Be sure to bring sunscreen (non-spray), polarized sunglasses, plenty of water, and your favorite snacks or drinks. Beer and seltzers are allowed in moderation—just no glass or hard liquor.

If you’re ready to chase hard-pulling pelagics and reef bruisers on the same trip, Captain Aaron’s 6-hour wreck fishing adventure delivers big on both challenge and reward. Book your spot and get ready to drop in on some serious action!

Independent Guide
Meet Captain Aaron, a lifelong angler whose love for the water runs as deep as the oceans he fishes. Raised on the shores of the Great Lakes in Michigan, Aaron’s fishing journey began with early mornings alongside his father and grandfather—an experience that not only taught him the fundamentals but also ignited a lasting passion for the sport. That spark evolved into something bigger, leading him to film a fishing show and provide fresh catches to local restaurants—proof that for Aaron, fishing isn’t just a hobby, it’s a way of life.

With over 40 years of experience casting lines from the freshwater havens of the Midwest to the salty stretches of the East Coast, Florida Keys, Caribbean Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Bahamas, Captain Aaron brings a global perspective and deep expertise to every trip. He holds a USCG 100 Ton Masters License, earned from the prestigious Chapman's Academy of Seamanship in Stuart, Florida—a testament to both his dedication and his professional approach to guiding.

Now based in Marathon, Captain Aaron is all about turning moments on the water into lasting memories. Whether you're a seasoned angler or casting for the first time, he’s ready to share his knowledge, passion, and love for the sport in a way that’s both approachable and exciting. With Aaron at the helm, you’re not just booking a trip—you’re stepping into a lifelong adventure fueled by skill, storytelling, and a serious love for the sea.
