About Your Trip

Step aboard with Captain Aaron for a true bluewater adventure as you head offshore on one of his 6- or 8-hour fishing trips out of Marathon. These trips are designed for anglers who want more—more time, more water, and more chances at the hard-fighting pelagics and reef bruisers that make the Florida Keys such a legendary fishing destination.

On the 6-hour trip, you'll venture into the deep, targeting seasonal hotspots like the famous Humps—an underwater
chain of ridges that attracts big game species from all over. Depending on what’s biting, you could find yourself trolling for Mahi Mahi, sight fishing for Sailfish, or deep dropping baits to tempt Snowy Grouper and Black Grouper. Blackfin Tuna are a frequent catch out here, and Wahoo often crash the party with their blistering runs. Captain Aaron may also break out the kite rods for an elevated shot at surface feeders, or set up a drift for a crack at African Pompano, Bull Sharks, or even a rare Bluefin Tuna. Every day is a new puzzle, and Captain Aaron has the experience and gear to dial it in.

For those who want to make the most of their time on the water, the 8-hour trip offers the full offshore experience, with the flexibility to mix techniques and explore multiple zones. This trip gives you the chance to fish the reef, bounce around the wrecks, and push further offshore—all in one epic day. You might start by deep dropping for Grouper, then switch to trolling for Wahoo and Tuna, or stop at a reef to load up on Yellowtail and Mangrove Snapper. Hogfish, Tarpon, and Amberjack are all in the mix depending on the time of year and current conditions, and with the open ocean as your playground, anything can happen.

Captain Aaron’s 33’ Invincible center console is the ideal vessel for these runs. It’s fast, stable, and fully rigged with outriggers, top-tier electronics, and all the gear needed to fish effectively and comfortably. There’s room for six passengers, and a toilet on board adds convenience for the longer hauls. He supplies everything from rods and reels to tackle and bait, including live bait when available. Your fishing license is covered too, so all you have to do is show up and get ready to fish.

Bring along sun protection like non-spray sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and a hat. You’re welcome to pack your favorite snacks and drinks—beer and seltzers are allowed in moderation, but skip the glass bottles and hard liquor.

Whether you're chasing a cooler full of meat fish or hunting that once-in-a-lifetime pelagic, these offshore trips with Captain Aaron promise an unforgettable day on the water, packed with action, variety, and the thrill of the unknown.

Meet Captain Aaron, a lifelong angler whose love for the water runs as deep as the oceans he fishes. Raised on the shores of the Great Lakes in Michigan, Aaron’s fishing journey began with early mornings alongside his father and grandfather—an experience that not only taught him the fundamentals but also ignited a lasting passion for the sport. That spark evolved into something bigger, leading him to film a fishing show and provide fresh catches to local restaurants—proof that for Aaron, fishing isn’t just a hobby, it’s a way of life.

With over 40 years of experience casting lines from the freshwater havens of the Midwest to the salty stretches of the East Coast, Florida Keys, Caribbean Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Bahamas, Captain Aaron brings a global perspective and deep expertise to every trip. He holds a USCG 100 Ton Masters License, earned from the prestigious Chapman's Academy of Seamanship in Stuart, Florida—a testament to both his dedication and his professional approach to guiding.

Now based in Marathon, Captain Aaron is all about turning moments on the water into lasting memories. Whether you're a seasoned angler or casting for the first time, he’s ready to share his knowledge, passion, and love for the sport in a way that’s both approachable and exciting. With Aaron at the helm, you’re not just booking a trip—you’re stepping into a lifelong adventure fueled by skill, storytelling, and a serious love for the sea.
