Anglers are experiencing abundant catches of various snapper species, including mutton, lane, and yellowtail snappers. Additionally, there’s been plenty of action with sharks, barracudas, and mackerels, providing thrilling rod-bending experiences. The current weather in Key West features mostly cloudy skies with temperatures around 77°F. The forecast for the upcoming days indicates pleasant conditions, with highs in the low 80s°F and lows in the mid-70s Despite the windy conditions, inshore waters have remained fishable, allowing anglers to enjoy excellent fishing opportunities. The presence of various snapper species such as the highly sought after mutton snapper , we've also filled coolers with mangrove yellowtail and lane snappers as well along with sharks, barracudas, and mackerels, has contributed to the dynamic and rewarding fishing experiences in the area. While the weather is cooling down, the fishing is heating up. Speckled trout fishing is really good with lots of slot fish being caught on float rigs and artificial. Sheepshead have been good but small. Better fish being caught over the last week. Sharks are a problem taking quite a few fish during the fight. Some reds being caught, many undersized and others too big. The temperature change should fire everything up. Let's go fishing!
