Lake Austin Fishing Report – Early Summer Update
Lake Austin is at a normal level with clear water and roughly 4–6 feet of visibility. Water temperatures are around 72°, and bass are holding shallow, mostly in less than 6 feet of water around flats with submerged vegetation. Fish are currently in a mix of spawning and post-spawn phases, and many are grouped up in specific areas across the lake.
The most consistent action has been coming on drop-shot rigged finesse worms and Neko-rigged creature baits worked through shallow grass flats. Once an active group of fish is located, anglers are...
