Hey Hannah, the redfish bite is still steady. With the flood tides target grass lines with a popping cork and a live mullet or shrimp on a 1/0 circle hook. For the bull reds target the inlets with either live mullet, blue crab or cut bait on a 3/0 hook with minimal weight. Slack tides will produce the best fishing. Flounder, same ole story. Target creek mouths, bends and sandbars. The snook bite is the best it's been in a couple of weeks. Target most of the same area's as the smaller refs and flounder with live shrimp or finger mullet on a 1/0 to a 3/0 hook with a split shot or under a popping cork. In the St. John's River the everything is still keyed in on shrimp as they thin out. Use a slip cork rig with a 1/0 to 3/0 hook and pitch up close to natural shoreline and hold on. You can expect to catch everything from largemouth, striped bass, red fish and catfish. Currently we are experiencing higher than usual flood tides so the fishing is tough but once you find them the bite is pretty good.

Hi Hannah, Our October has been great so far. Redfish and flounder have been great using artificial lures and live shrimp along the grass lines, marsh drains and reefs.

If you haven’t given fall bay fishing a try, you are missing out on a fun and fruitful time! Fishing around the oyster beds, breaks, and drop-offs for trout, redfish, or flounder, using MirrOlures, Gulp, or shrimp. For black drum and redfish, fish by the birds. Look for seagulls working and fish will follow. Lots of undersized trout and plenty of slot reds.

Redfish have been most productive on a falling tide. We're finding them coming out of the back marsh. When we're able to get out to the surf it has be lights out. Been using a mix of artificial and live bait.

After The Big Rains!!!! Inshore bite was bad just for a couple of days after the end of August monsoonal rains.... Had a few catches of blue cats and bass down the bay.... The bite and the salt water bounced back very quick tho and it’s been strong since..actually we’ve had no rain since that last week of August!!! The water is nice and salty now!! Sheepsheads showed up a lil early when the salt water came back. Some biggins too!!!! A large nice variety of fish-flounder, speckle trout, black and red drum etc...Still a lot of different fish in the bays. Out on the 4 hour fishing trips we offer its a catch a minute!! Fast action for sure!

Fishing has been good on artificial baits, trout, and flounder along the Intracoastal waterway. Redfish have started showing up in schools on the flats and are eating artificial and fresh cut bait.

Fishing report from Cody P. in Dickinson, Texas Book a trip with Captain Cody here.

Redfish madness The last few weeks on the water have been absolutely incredible. If I had to take a guess on how many red fish we caught in the last weeks I would say 250 to 300. Most of the fish we've caught have been in 3 foot or less of water on a popping cork and shrimp. A lot of the recent trips I've ran have had non-stop action from the first cast to the last one. If you want to come get in on some of this action book a trip and let's go make some memories!

Fishing report from Hunter B. in Oak Hill, Florida Book a trip with Captain Hunter here.

The bull redfish are in! The mullet run is in full swing and the bite has been pretty hot from the flats to the beach. We are targeting bull redfish on the flats with light tackle in some areas and there is a consistent bull red bite in the inter coastal and around the jetties. Some snook are in the mix and a good number of tarpon are crashing amongst the schools of mullet. Back in the flats schools of small 5-10 pound black drum are present and they should be consistent throughout the fall.

The red fish bite is still good despite them being spread out a little in the creeks and flats. Most are staging in the inlets for the mullet run and spawning. Flounder and drum bite is still good. Look for both in creek corners and creek mouths for the flounder. The water temperature will start to drop in the next few weeks so we can expect to start seeing some triple tail more often and the trout bite will get better. We’re also picking up snook in residential canals and creeks on the falling tide. Tarpon are on the beach along with big jacks and Spanish mackerel. Target the pogy pods just off the beach or in the surf.

Fishing report from Tom M. in Orange Beach, Alabama Book a trip with Captain Tom here.

Redfish are starting to show up in the area. As long as the weather stays warm, the Spanish mackerel with be abundant. Mangrove snapper have been plentiful and have been very hungry. Fishing is good in Orange Beach right now.

Fishing in Galveston bay has been good. Lots of trout being caught in the deeper water over shell and near the many gas wells. Best bite is on live shrimp. Fish are also on shallow reefs in Trinity bay. A mix of black drum, speckled trout and the occasional slot redfish. Bull reds are beginning to school in the open water. Water clarity is good.

Fishing report from David R. in Houston, Texas Book a trip with Captain David here.

High winds pushed the fish into deeper waters but we found a few keepers.
Fishing is hot in trinity bay. Red, trout, & drum by the hundreds. Mostly small with keepers blended in. Bigger reds are showing up for the fall run. Bait of choice fresh dead shrimp on popping cork.
