Situated between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, Flagler Beach provides ample opportunities to target a variety of inshore species throughout the year. The area's extensive flats and shallow waters attract species such as redfish, speckled trout, flounder, and black drum, making it a popular destination for both novice anglers and seasoned fishing enthusiasts.

One of the favored techniques for flats fishing in Flagler Beach is sight fishing, particularly during the warmer months when water clarity is at its peak. Anglers scan the shallow waters for signs of cruising or tailing fish, such as redfish or trout, and carefully present baits or lures to entice strikes. Live bait such as shrimp or mullet, as well as artificial lures like soft plastics or topwater plugs, are commonly used to target these species in the clear, shallow waters of the flats.

Drift fishing is another effective method in Flagler Beach, allowing anglers to cover larger areas of water while targeting a variety of species. This technique involves drifting with the current or wind across flats or channels and presenting baits or lures to fish that are actively feeding. Anglers often use live bait such as mud minnows or finger mullet, as well as artificial lures like jigs or spoons, to attract fish like flounder or black drum. The combination of diverse habitats and effective fishing techniques makes flats fishing in Flagler Beach a rewarding experience for anglers looking to explore Florida's rich coastal waters and enjoy the thrill of catching inshore species.

We had a great day on the water. The bite was tough but Billy still got us some fish and we had a blast. We fished a lot of different spots and techniques all day. Will definitely book with Billy again when we come back.

We had a lot of fun! Liam was very professional and very patient! Our son gets “uninterested” quickly, but Liam did his best to keep him engaged and fishing! He made sure we caught a variety of fish. We caught puffers, sheepshead, lady fish, red snapper, catfish and a stingray. We couldn’t keep any, as they were too small or not good to eat, but he made sure he put us on them and that we were catching something! He even let our son “drive” the boat! Will definitely schedule again! Thanks Liam!
