Situated along the Gulf Coast, Fort Myers boasts extensive shallow flats, mangrove shorelines, and tidal creeks that are home to a variety of prized gamefish. One of the primary targets for flats fishing enthusiasts in Fort Myers is the snook (Centropomus undecimalis). These elusive and hard-fighting fish are often found lurking near mangrove roots, docks, and sandy flats where they ambush prey such as shrimp and small fish. Captain was very nice, he rigged all of the poles and took us to lots of different locations trying to find fish. Used all kinds of bait, gave us pointers, but because of a tropical storm the week before the fish just were not biting.

If I could give six stars I would. I probably couldn’t have asked for a better first time experience saltwater fishing. James is clearly passionate about the waters and his knowledge was shown with every question we had answered. James was beyond patient, professional, and cares about his clients’ time. James knew where the action was and put us on some fish. I had an excellent time catching multiple species. Overall, my buddy and I felt welcomed and enjoyed hanging out with James and his mate Joe.
