Captain Casey went above and beyond today to put us on the fish, as well as being very accommodating! His boat is top of the line, and he has all nice new poles and reels, as well as everything on his boat is impeccably clean. You will have a relaxing experience with a captain who is extremely knowledgeable of all aspects of fishing and keeps you moving and busy for your time on the water. We knew right away once we met captain Casey at the marina we booked with the right captain because he is extremely professional, courteous, and as I stated earlier, extremely accommodating. For me personally, I ended landing the largest fish I have ever caught before which was really exciting. At the end of our trip, he did filet all of our fish and did a very good professional job, which was very nice so we did not have to do that. His first mate today was his cousin Luke, and he was very attentive to us, the rods, fish, upkeep with the boat, and anything you could imagine. Overall, we have found our main “guy” for fishing when we visit down here, which is fairly often because we only live 3 hours away. We are excited to go back out with Captain Casey again! If you want a true Florida keys fishing experience, Captain Casey is your guy!

Trip: Ultimate Offshore Thrills

This was honestly one of the most disappointing charters I’ve had. I’ve booked numerous charters all over and in the keys. I realize fishing is fishing but we were greeted by a captain other than Dan, great guy but not what I expected honestly. Our vessel wasn’t prepared and ready to go so we waited longer than was expected and it pushed other plans back even further. We caught one 12.5 inch yellow that was big enough to keep. On other charters the boat is quite well prepared and ready to change course quickly to get you on the fish, not the case, granted it was a shorter booking I’ve still had much better equipped captains and vessels. So to spend the day bobbing for non existent apples was not at all ideal. It was so boring my wife and son chose to nap. So just be aware that if you choose this charter it may not go at all to plan. Sadly it was a waste of precious vacation time. I typically hate reading negative reviews and have never personally left one, but this seemed appropriate given the outcome. Good luck.

He did everything he could to put us on fish. He also pointed out the abundance of wildlife, including sea turtles, hammerhead sharks, and a manatee. We booked a 3/4 day after speaking with the captain the (plan) was made to shoot out deep and if we were not hitting them we would come in on the 3/4 day booking rather than a full day. Captain troy and his first mate worked as hard as I have ever seen to get fish on the boat. Not sure but at one time I think he had a deep running plug in one marlin plug and 4 top water trolling plugs so it looked like they were shooting for many different depths. We finally got into the mahi-mahi it was on. The first mate and captain maneuvered through 4 men as quick as humanly possible pulling fish off the lines and baiting hooks and handing them back. The only true way to explain it would be controlled chaos. These guys are GREAT at what they do and both the first mate and the captain seem to be fantastic people in there own right. So if your looking for a hard working boat stop here at Miller Time....
