Float into the water with Greg for an exciting fly-fishing adventure on some beautiful Texas rivers! On this 4 to 8-hour fly-fishing trip, Greg will float you out on the Brazos River, a smaller tributary such as the Paluxy River, or one of the many of the area lakes. Here, he'll give you some of his expert fly fishing tips as you target several fish species including Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Striped Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, White Bass, and a variety of the Sunfish species. There is even Carp, Smallmouth Buffalo, Freshwater Drum and Gar. No matter your experience level, from beginners to experienced, Greg is passionate about making your day on the water one to remember. Whether it’s floating the scenic Brazos River, wading the “hill country like” Paluxy River, or taking you out on one of many picturesque lakes, Greg will guide you to a Texas sized, fun filled, fly fishing trip of a lifetime! Depending on conditions and where the fishing is the best, Greg will choose from a couple of options for the best way to go. You'll either be aboard a custom 16 1/2 foot Hog Island Skiff with a Jet Motor or a 14 foot Aire Raft equipped with an Outcast fishing system. These vessels are very stable and comfortable, and are great for getting through shallow water. Greg will provide flies, leaders & tippet, fly rods & reels (available by request, please make arrangements prior to your trip), drinks, snacks and will even do some expert photography to leave you with some pictures! Lunches will be provided on the full day trips as well. All you need to bring is a valid Texas freshwater fishing license, and we recommend polarized sun glasses, a hat, rain gear & clothing for the season and sunscreen. You are welcome to bring our own fly rod and reel. He recommends a 4-6 weight Fly Rod for wade trips on smaller waters such as the Paluxy River. However, on the Brazos River or one of the many area Lakes, he prefers a 6-8 weight Fly Rod. Big flies allow opportunities to catch some bigger fish but require a heavier fly line. Big fish are also easier to control and land on a 6-8 weight fly rod. In terms of lines, he recommends floating, weight forward and shorter taper fly lines. On the Brazos River and some of the lake areas, there are times when an intermediate sink, or sink tip and full sinking lines are best. Enjoy your day on the water and catch some fish with Greg! My son and I went out with Rueben and had a great time. It was a windy day and the fish weren’t initially biting but he took us to a bunch of different spots and we hauled in a few redfish. He was a great role model for my son who wants to be a fishing guide someday. Would definitely go out with him again.

Doug is a phenomenal guide! He quickly made us feel like family. Fishing was supposed to be hard, but everywhere he took us, we caught fish. The only problem we had was he helped the women catch the biggest catch LOL! Thank you for a great time!

What an outstanding time that we had with Captain Mike. This was our very first time boat fishing and we had done so at the request of my son for his 17th birthday. Captain Mike was incredibly accommodating, very easy to communicate with and more importantly knowledgeable when it comes to fishing. He was incredibly patient, taught each person in our group of four how to properly cast and really made sure that we had a good time (and also made sure we caught our limit, I have no doubt he would have stayed out there all day to make it happen.) I'm new at this but I am sure this is the type of experience you hope for with this sort of activity. Book this gut y'all. I PROMISE you that you will not be disappointed. Thanks again Captain Mike for a memorable experience!!!!!

Trey was very accomidating and helpful throughout the trip. There wasn't a whole lot of fish that day (as was the case for the other boats), but we still managed to catch what we needed. Trey also gave us a great recommendation for a nearby restaurant to have our fish cooked. Thanks Trey! Tip well deserved!
