About Your Trip

Get ready to chase trophy Walleye on the stunning waters of Saginaw Bay with Captain Douglas, one of Michigan’s most experienced guides! With over 40 years of guiding experience and a lifetime spent fishing, Captain Douglas knows the tricks to hook into Walleye and the best spots to find them. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a first-timer, this trip is all about the thrill of the catch and savoring the beauty of the bay.

This 5-hour adventure begins at dawn, so you’ll be out there as the Walleye are waking up and looking for breakfast. Captain Douglas will have you trolling with up to 3 lines per person, covering a wide area and maximizing your chances of a big bite. With Saginaw Bay’s productive waters and Captain Douglas’s expert guidance, you’re in for some serious action as you reel in one of these prized fish!

You’ll be fishing aboard a 20’ Crestliner, a reliable and comfortable vessel powered by a 150 HP Mercury engine, with a 9.9 HP auxiliary motor to assist with precision trolling. This setup is designed for Walleye fishing, featuring outriggers and a livewell to keep your bait fresh and ready to go. There’s space to set up an impressive 14 lines, giving you the advantage to lure in these elusive fish. And during winter trips, a heated enclosure ensures you stay warm and focused, even on those chilly Michigan mornings.

This trip can accommodate up to 3 guests, making it perfect for a small group of friends or family looking to share an unforgettable fishing experience. Captain Douglas provides all the rods, reels, tackle, and bait you’ll need, so just bring along your fishing license, snacks, and drinks, and you’re all set for a fantastic day on the water.

Please note that you’re welcome to keep your catch within legal limits, but fish cleaning services are unavailable during the winter months, so plan accordingly. With Captain Douglas at the helm, you’re in expert hands to enjoy the best of Saginaw Bay’s Walleye fishing—don’t miss the chance to reel in these beauties!
