Putah Creek is somewhere I have a long history with, one of the original "Home Waters" I have been guiding since 1984 along with the Stanislaus, Calaveras and Mokelumne rivers.
When asked about my favorite places to fish or guide, I always share the fact that Putah is perhaps the most exciting still because at certain times of the year, you never know what you may hook into! I can't tell you how many clients have caught or hooked fish that would be considered the fish of a lifetime....

The Delta is still hanging in there with water temps. and clarity totally fine, for those of you you may have trouble wading, a day on the Delta is always fun with the Waterfowl migration in full swing along with daily sightings of Osprey, Otters and the occasional Mink....

I learned my techniques there, along with the other waters mentioned, and developed certain presentations for certain runs, like different shots in Golf for different lies and holes( For you Golfers)....
