Cabo San Lucas this week can expect some excellent catches of marlin, tuna, and mahi-mahi. The water temperature is warm, and the sea conditions are calm, making it perfect for fishing.
The striped marlin bite has been fantastic this week, with boats reporting multiple hook-ups per trip. The marlin are ranging in size from 100-300lbs, and they're being caught using live bait and lures. The best spots for marlin fishing are the Golden Gate Bank and the San Jaime Bank.
Yellowfin tuna are also biting well this week, with fish weighing between 20-100lbs being caught. The tuna are being caught using cedar plugs and live bait, and the best locations for catching them are around the San Jaime Bank and the 1150 Spot.
Mahi-mahi, also known as dorado, are also being caught in good numbers this week. They are being found in the same areas as the tuna, and they are being caught using lures and live bait. Mahi-mahi caught this week have been averaging between 10-30lbs, with a few larger fish also being caught.
Overall, the fishing conditions in Cabo San Lucas are excellent this week, and anglers are encouraged to take advantage of the great catches available. With calm seas and plenty of fish, it's a great time to be out on the water.

The fishing in Cabo San Lucas has been excellent lately, with great catches of marlin and yellowfin tuna being reported. Anglers have been having a lot of success targeting these game fish species both inshore and offshore.
Marlin fishing has been particularly productive, with both striped marlin and blue marlin being caught in good numbers. The best fishing for marlin has been offshore, with many charters heading out to the deeper waters beyond the 1,000 fathom line. Live bait and lures have both been working well, and anglers have been having the most success using lighter tackle with a lot of action.
Yellowfin tuna fishing has also been strong, with many anglers reporting good catches both inshore and offshore. Tuna are being caught on live bait, lures, and chunk bait, and are often found feeding around floating debris or schools of smaller fish. The average size of the tuna being caught has been around 25-40 pounds, but larger fish are certainly possible.
Overall, the fishing in Cabo San Lucas is in great shape right now, with excellent opportunities to catch marlin and yellowfin tuna. Our crabbing trip exceeded my expectations. Craig's boat had comfortable seats. He offered us high quality lightweight life jackets (the blow-up kind). He told us the ocean was relatively calm and asked if we wanted to leave the bay and go out there. We did. He instructed us how to drop the crab pots, then entertained us (and our 4-year-old granddaughter) while we waited before checking the pots. We saw sea lions on a buoy; saw hundreds of jellyfish; learned about air bladders on fish like canary rockfish. our granddaughter got to view the radar screen showing where fish were. A first for any of our family: We caught our limit of crab, which Craig worked with my two sons to clean and cook for us. I felt completely safe with Craig. He is very knowledgeable and responsible; answered all my questions ahead of time. A wonderful, memorable day, well worth setting out before dawn.

Captain Experience has not disappointed us yet. This is the second trip of have used them on first in Cancun and now in Puerto Vallarta both times with kids. This trip was everything we could ask for. Started off with the kids catching a handful of bait fish then we found a mother Humpback Whale and her calf that put on one hell of a show from 40 yards away. Ended the day with 2 huge Jacks and a great Spanish maceral. Captian Scoobie and his crew were amazing and it was an easy, safe and family friendly trip. Highly recommend.

This trip was incredible! I took my wife out with Yoni and his mate while we were in town for a wedding and we had just about the best day of fishing you can ask for. Yoni speaks perfect English and was super accommodating before the trip via WhatsApp. He had drinks on the boat and brought us some delicious mango bread for breakfast from a local bakery (without us asking for a thing). We set off and after we got past the color change in the water had nonstop action. We went 4 for 4 on some of the biggest sailfish I’ve ever caught and ended with a massive hookup on a marlin right by the boat that jumped off after a short fight. The fishing style is awesome: all teaser fishing with no hooks in the water at all, and you (with help from the guys) pitch bait to billfish right at the boat which leads to some absurd hookups. We had lunch with the guys afterwards at one of the beach restaurants near the marina and practiced our Spanish with them. I couldn’t recommend this trip more.
